Olympic Ice was part of the 2006 Olympics and it was so fun. I remember having all these episodes on my computer back in '06. Any figure skating fan may remember this when it aired and should have fun rewatching. If you love figure skating, def check it out. Mary Carillo was fantastic.
BACK ON OLYMPIC ICE, Y'ALL
I am SO. SLOW. But it felt so very amazing to be back on an oval. On my last day in town I thought I would relive the ghosts of my past and chase some unfulfilled dreams so I headed out to the UofC, rented these beautiful Evos, and took to the ice.
I'm still angry at myself for not being better than I was, but I'm trying to come to terms. It's been AGES since I skated a proper oval with proper equipment and at no point did I even fall, let alone injure anything, which had been my fears before retaking the ice. So...all in all, nice work, self. You conquered. Now get back to MN and join the skating club and the next time you find yourself back here you can work actually setting a competitive pace again.
