Well... on the downside, I literally spent the hours from midnight to 6am laying in my bed not sleeping.
On the upside... I have now seen most of the scenes in my in-planning fic played out in my brain in full cinematic glory.
I only wish the end result wasn't that I'm now too tired to write any of it.

In an attempt to both speak Dutch more because apparently my pronunciation is so shit that my "accent makes it really hard to understand you" AND in an attempt at teaching Jonas by exposure and osmosis, I have taken to responding to things or saying random things in Dutch and letting Jonas figure out from context what I just said.
Lately, every time I have to do something I don't want to do or, you know, stand up and walk across a room or something, I have taken to saying "Dat kan niet. Ik vind het te moeilijk." (No, I can't. I find it too difficult.) in the most obnoxious tone of voice possible. I have no idea if Jonas is amused, but I certainly am.
It just started pelting down hail outside with absolutely zero warning.

Wellll... tonight I got overly emotional and started sobbing over badass female friendship during a children's movie, how are all of you?
Me: Has spent many months talking about how I want to move out of the U.S. and I find my job boring and not enough of a challenge.
Me: Has spent all morning responding to e-mails from colleagues congratulating me on my recently announced "promotion"*.
Also Me: Has spent the afternoon applying for essentially the same job I just got "promoted" into, but in Los Angeles and inexplicably a job grade higher than the one I just moved into.
Yup... I am 100% THAT BITCH. Ask me if I care.
*said "promotion" is actually just moving me into the ACTUAL JOB TITLE that I have been doing work as for at least 5 years. In truth, 90% of the work I do is a job title ABOVE that one, but I guess we're just over here trying not to pay people what they're worth. It's fine. I will work as hard as you pay me to work. We can play that game.
