Feel free to be you, but know you will face opposition and othering in today’s day and age. It sucks, but now you get to stand up for the next generation of baby gays.

Physical safety and financial survivability are important. Freedom can and will come, keep your head down and work until you can throw the sheet off on yourself and be out. It must be awful to wait, but you have to exist to be out. Anything that threatens your being may prevent you from being alive to be out.
