What I find rubbish about the American school system is that they were teaching us about grammar in primary school when I didn’t care much about it. Like by the time you’ve reached high school English is all about books, which is fine (I guess), but language is so fluid, wouldn’t it make more sense to have a class in high school that is about current English and ‘proper’ grammar? Also please let me know if the curriculum for high school has changed since I was there (~10 years ago if anyone wants to track that lmao).
Great news! I drank too much tea today and can’t sleep!
So in my new role I’ve gotten close to the people who had my old role cause, you know, I dealt with that shit for 4+ years and if I can help them out in any way to both make their job easier, I will do it. Even if it means working harder than the people in my role or making a couple of executive decisions cause shut up the only reason anyone will want this is cause grown adults can be like toddlers (I.E. want something only because they can’t have it).
And there’s nothing like comradery. Telling someone “well, if they (surgeons that we work for) don’t like it then they can’t fight me in a parking lot” and say it so honestly to someone, thinking ‘they are probably going to think I’m being over dramatic and take it way too literally which would be bad’
And to have them respond with “I will be fighting them in that parking lot too, I agree and I got you”.
THAT IS WHAT JOBS SHOULD BE ABOUT!
I know people who had the job I had before and got the job I have now and are still shits to the people that have their old role. WHY?? It doesn’t matter who’s job is slightly higher up, if you cannot come together with the people around you regardless of role and fight together then what are you doing with your life? Why wouldn’t you want to lift people up with you instead of keeping them down??
We said goodbye to our girl Chelsea yesterday. Honey is no longer lonely, and they are sharing a couch together again.
Want music to listen on the road with me? You will not find it on my phone. None of my playlist names make any sense, not even to me. I have hits like Vacuum, Aaaaaaa, Like Another Can of Beans, Floors are Hard, Let’s Strike Too, Say What, Emotional Fees, and December, to name a few out of the million playlists I have.
Anyone else assume they are doing extremely subpar and are disliked by people at work that when someone says anything nice about it you just want to cry?? Because you don’t expect that kindness to be spent on you??
