Omar and Sawyer had decided to do some summer landscaping. What Omar had not realized was that it required a lot more supplies than he would have realized. It included several bags of mulch, shovels, a wheelbarrow, a rake, gloves and enough plants to start a small garden. Omar was leaning against the handle of the shovel as he looked at the project that they had started. He let his gaze linger before turning back to Sawyer. "I'm going to be honest," he started, "when you said you had an idea for the backyard, I thought it was more along the lines of buying some fake plants and calling it a day." His words were threaded with amusement, even as beads of sweat rolled from his forehead.

During his time as both a football star and tattoo artist, he had learned a lot of things. He used to read a defense on the field in seconds and talk to reporters without actually saying anything. How to perfect the fine line. But what he had not learned was how to to buy flowers. And that was how he found himself standing in the middle of Belle Blossoms, looking completely out of place. His arms were loosely crossed over his chest as he stared at a display in front of him. Roses were obvious. Lilies felt serious. At the sound of someone else's footsteps, he turned, seeing the woman that worked there. "Is there some sort of secret flower language that everyone knows about except me?" Omar much preferred to have an actual reference for the work he was doing when possible but he was finding it difficult.

Omar had grown more used to befriending those that were fans of his. At first, it hadn't felt appropriate to do so, even being freshly retired from playing for the Baltimore Ravens. Now, Omar had less qualms around the whole thing. He'd given up his football career and was focused on something that brought him more peace, more joy. Grabbing his drink and the one that Griffin had ordered from the bar, he returned to the table. "I put in an order for the wings and pretzel bites, too." He told the other, "Somethin' about them sounded good tonight." He slid the drink across the table to the man. "I'm not normally a big basketball fan," he looked to the television where another March Madness game was playing, "but the teams have been good this year."

The coffee shop was more crowded than he expected for that time of day. Every table within the coffee shop was filled except for one seat across from him. He couldn't remember a time in which he had seen it this busy. Omar didn't mind it, but he was half-way through his coffee at this point. His phone remained untouched beside him, face down as to not distract himself. He glanced up from staring into the coffee mug when someone hovered nearby. "You can take that chair," he offered, nodding toward it. "I'm not savin' it for anyone right now." Omar's sketchbook was on the other side of his coffee mug, also untouched for the moment.

When Omar moved back to Kismet Harbor, he moved into the quaint apartment complex with no desire to live in a space that was bigger than he could fill by himself. He did that while living in Baltimore and playing for the Ravens. It was haunting to wander around the house and see all the empty space. And now, while there would still be empty areas, they were going to be filled in due time. Buying a house with Sawyer hadn't been on his bucket list for the year, but they had just finished signing all the paperwork and were given the keys.

Omar stood in his apartment, gaze drifting before returning to Sawyer as he saw her appear through the open door. "It's weird," his expression softened as he looked at her, "but I'm ready for our new adventure. Should we go meet the movers at the house?"

Omar and Sawyer had been dating since August fifteenth and they were about to spend New Year's Eve together and not to mention, it was Sawyer's birthday. He was grateful for their relationship together and wanted to give her the best possible day that he could, one that she could remember. Omar and Sawyer had just stepped off the dance floor and he hadn't let go of her hand. He took her over to one of the tables. "So, I've been thinking." Omar told Sawyer, "I know we haven't been together a really long time, but what if we move in together?"

Omar had paint on his bare arms by the time he stepped back from the mural. There were a mix of colors that stood out against his skin. The section he had been working on what starting to resemble what he had been imaging. Not caring that he had paint on his arms, knowing some spots were still slightly wet, he crossed his arms loosely over his chest. He was studying it before he noticed someone standing nearby. "What do you see?" Omar questioned, not afraid to ask, "It's a collective piece of work between a few artists in town."

The two had been dating for over a month now. Since the incident in her apartment following the earthquake, Omar knew that he couldn't be without her in his life any longer. They'd had their ups and their downs, but Omar was never going to stop showing her just how much she meant to him. And that meant date nights. Omar had arrived at her apartment door, dressed up. He drove them both to the restaurant, holding her hand the entire time. Omar couldn't help himself as he intertwined their fingers walking up the restaurant. He opened up the door and told the hostess his name for their reservation. Their conversation was casual, his own nerves getting the better of him even as they were sat down by the hostess. "Have I said how beautiful you look tonight?" Omar joked, knowing he had said it at least a few times.
