“Because of me?” Rex felt a short laugh bubble from his chest.

           “Mainly, yes. We were meant to be there in time for a dinner. However with finding you we made camp instead and sent Bly to explain to the King that one of our brothers fell ill. Not anything serious. But that we would be there tomorrow and that we hoped he would understand.”

           “Jinn will.” Rex spoke before flinching. “Uh, I know him”

           “Clearly,” Cody snorted.

           “But you’re on what? A meeting with a King?” Rex cocked his head to the side. It just seemed to make Cody delighted.

           “You really have no clue who you are?” The laugh made him roll his eyes.

           “I know I’m a lost orphan raised by a knight who was told to leave me at the side of the road. That I have a great family at my home who is most likely losing their shit right now.” He shot back.

           “We are the sons of the head family of our people.” Cody rested his head on his chin, grinning at him like he was a joke. Not out of malice. Just delight.

           “What?” He could only stare.

           “You’re not the youngest anymore, but you are a prince of sort” Cody answered with ease. “Just so you know. Our parents were desperate to find you. To all of us, you were there one minute then gone the next.” Cody sighed softly.

           Rex wondered if he should tell him about what Rex remembered. About how he ended up on the side of the road. This was his brother and he deserved to know. He got as far as opening his mouth when there were shouts. But he heard one word that made him panic.

          “DRAGON!” A bellow reached him.

Rex: Yes Tennyson, BK always has lots of tricks up her sleeve and she'll always try to find ways to escape...

Ben: And she will try once more restart the Nanite Event with the help of Van Kleiss.
