Dante: “I don't trust those stairs.”
Nero: *raises eyebrow* “Why not?”
Dante: “Because they're always up to something” *wheezes*
Nero, internally: “Not funny, didn’t laugh.”

This me. I laughed. out loud. Sorry Nero but I thought it was hilarious! Dante may not be a dad in canon, but he's close enough so he unlocked dad jokes out of pure will.
