It’s almost the end of the year. 2020 is almost over! I know that this year has been the hardest swallow for us all. I still can’t believe that the world stopped and it challenged me so much. Before 2020 started I had big plans. I was ready to claim this year a success but then pandemic happened and everything was put on hold. EVERYTHING! (including my plans & my dreams) The lockdown was tough for all of us. I struggled with my mental health. I experienced so much stress, panic attacks and anxiety not knowing what’s gonna happen next. I have to admit, there are times that I wanted to give up and almost killed myself. But everytime the thought of quitting would cross my mind I’d remember my passion, my dreams, my goals and my purpose of existence. During this quarantine, I realized, maybe I should use this time to realign with myself. It gifted me with so much quiet time. I found time to think of myself more and my dreams. From being so busy in the past years, I finally had time to relax, rest and think of other opportunities waiting for me. It was during this quarantine that I also discovered that even though my plans and career were put on hold, it doesn’t mean that my dreams and goals are cancelled. Life goes on and I can still achieve other things. And losing weight from 102kg to 74kg is one of those that I achieved this year. Above all, this time has reminded me what my top priority is......, MYSELF! I was once again reminded that I should make myself a priority and that’s totally fine. Practicing self-love isn’t just about doing this and doing that. It’s about learning how to allow yourself to rest and to also set boundaries. Always remember that SELF-CARE & SELF-LOVE isn’t selfish. Happy New Year everyone ! 2021.....
