My aunt made it through. She ended up having to have a second brain surgery to put in a permanent shunt to drain the excess brain fluid. She left the hospital at the end of October and stayed with one of her daughters out of state while she recovered.
She is supposed to be moving back to our area soon, and I think that is such a huge mistake.
Once you’ve had one aneurysm burst, your chance of it happening again goes up by 25% and in that she smokes and it goes up again. We all believe that her living situation with her “husband” is what caused it to burst to begin with. She was always stressed out and here she is moving back in with him. She says she will leave him, but she has to do it her own way. Why that involves moving back in with him, I do not understand.
Anyway, she survived and is doing ok right now.
I appreciate all the kind words and thoughts from everybody on here, so I thought I would update y’all.
