¿Will the ship between Dex and Skully become an actual relationship at some point in the comic? ¿Or have romantic undertones never actually been there, and I've just been imagining things? (Feel free to answer this privately, to avoid spoilers for people that don't want them)
Nahh, you have not been imaging things. I’m quite a romantic at heart but I hate pure romance stories (cuz they lame). So I take the ghibli movie approach, where character development is more important and the characters grow to gradually like each other by overcoming the struggles of the main plot together. But the romance isn’t the main thing, it’s a result of the plot not the plot itself.
So Skully and Dex will eventually be together, or atleast have romantic feelings for each other. I don’t consider this spoilers because I’m not in the business of doing dumb will they or won’t they plots. I ain’t foolin anyone.
SkullDex is more of a slowburn buddy cops relationship. The whole enemies to friends shebang. So I draw them as really close friends or enemies most of the time.
