72. She'll be coming 'round the mountain

Sometimes, I have a very difficult time making a definitive decision. In my first grade Sunday school class, I broke down in tears because I couldn't make a choice about watching a movie or learning about God; needless to say, the demonstration preaching the message "choose God" proved ineffective after my meltdown.

My choice in major is no different. I applied to Biola as a Communicative Disorders major. But over the past few months, several people have encouraged me to become a Therapist, Professional Musician/Singer, Speech Therapist, and Writer. I would say I have no idea which to do, but I'm pretty sure I want to do either singing or writing as my career. Which one? I don't really know yet.

I'm impatient because I'm not omniscient. I wish I knew what direction God wanted me to embark on, but I really don't know. I feel gifted in both areas, but I feel like both endeavours are equally "impossible". Gosh, I'm making my degree decision based on exactly the thing I discouraged my friends from doing: money.

I'll have to make this decision sooner rather than later. Sometime soon, life will hit me like a freight train coming round the mountain and knock me off my feet. I can't wait.
