How cute is it that the first person Mabel thought (when Oliver and Charles weren't available) to help her with moving out was Theo? Like...AIHOSFIUHPAOFIHWOP! Also, she's learned so much more sign language since they last time were together.

i think that tobert is suss af and he got close to mabel to hinder her investigation (spoilers)

when he showed mabel the cookie recording, he immediately said "there's someone else with him" (or something like that) and it (mis)led to mabel to believe that he was talking to a person before she could consider the alternatives

he tricked mabel into having a date with him by insinuating he had a lead which is a li. maybe he was just being a perv but maybe it was also an attempt to distract mabel and wastes her time

when the "date" ended up giving mabel a lead in the investigation, he botched the stakeout by causing a ruckus and alerting jonathan to mabel's presence. it was supposed to be an accident that he crashed into the waiter but maybe it wasn't.

i see 2 possibilities here: either tobert is incredibly bad at murder investigation, or he is purposely trying to throw mabel off her game. either way, mabel deserves better
