It always took a lot out of Bing Wen to simply go out and do his job. He didn’t know if he was one of those people who were miserable at work all the time or the ones who took joy in what they did. But he did know that he was good at what he did. Maybe that was why the Zodiax still put up with him anyways. Even if he was exceptionally skilled in being a pain in the ass, they favored his abilities rather than his inability to at least appear charismatic. But they knew of his history and how he came to join the gang in the first place and well, no one had much to say when they learnt that he was Wang Bing Wen. But while he was very good at his job, he was still so bad at not coming off as someone partaking in illegal activity. A lot of the time he would be in the background, waiting before the disaster struck, and disappearing right before it’s discovered to anyone else. Because he was so reserved, he was both unapproachable and practically invisible. He went around with a permanent poker face and an aura which just screamed ‘stay away’ so most people did. Which made his life that much easier. Whenever sent out on a job, he could go in and out without anyone noticing. Outside of his work though, he didn’t find anything fun in the slightest to do with his free time. So maybe he was a little boring, but he didn’t really ever have the opportunity to find interests or hobbies, the life he had been thrown into didn’t give him much of a chance at all. So he grew accustomed to his surroundings instead of growing up like a normal kid would. He never thought of a different future than the one that had been given to him. One of the many negatives that came with being apart of the Zodiax. It would follow you for the majority of your life.
For most of his days, Bing Wen spent either lurking in the shadows ( as creepy as that sounds ) or sleeping. His naps usually ended up at the table of a random cafe with a half drunken cup of tea in front of him. The thing with Bing Wen was that he cherished his sleep very much and he cherished it so much that he refused to sleep anywhere besides the coffee shop. Of course he had his own apartment and everything, as well as the Zodiax’s headquarters to possibly fall asleep at. But those places just made it easier for people to look for him and successfully find him. And Bing loved his beauty sleep, he didn’t need anyone coming to fuck it up for him. And he found that if he at least ordered something for the cafe then they wouldn’t find a reason to kick him out when he ended up falling asleep. Bing had always had a problem with sleeping at the right time or sleeping for more than 30 minutes. He just never had the time. But he was able to take some time out of his day to lounge around at any cafe he just happened to stop by in until he ended up falling asleep.
Except today wasn’t really going as planned. Bing had decided to try something new. When he found himself in a pretty unfamiliar part of the city ( he was just a natural wanderlust at times ) he walked into the nearest place that at least appears to be a cafe and ordered something. His eyebrows nearly went up into his hairline when the worker had offered him the pecan pie, not that it was surprising, they were just a little too overbearing about it. For some reason he accepted it, as well as the simple ginger tea with lemon he always ordered. He sat at the table for a few moments, just analyzing the pie, as if they had poisoned it or something. But then he tasted it ( and Bing had never been one for sweets, but this triggered a strange warmness in him ) and he ended up ordering a few more after that. They were just slices, a few warm and delicious slices that may have just become his new favorite thing to order. The dilemma however, was that he most likely wasn’t going to be sleeping anytime soon.
His aura itself showed how upset he was, mostly with himself because he knew he probably wouldn’t be able to sleep for the next two days and he was practically fucking everything up for himself right now. He still lay his head down and silently wished the taste of pecan would go away from his lips as he bit down on them and let his eyes flutter shut. That was until he heard the ting of the bell signifying that someone had just entered the shop and his eyes were suddenly wide opened. It seemed he was more sensitive to sounds than he thought he was. Maybe that was because he was so used to being dead asleep and not paying attention to his surroundings. His glare was both sour and showed much tiredness, except it seemed he wasn’t going to be getting much sleep anytime soon.
