With a quest to find a fallen friend.
When Jeremy Whitley broke off the sad news regarding cancellation of the Unstoppable Wasp yesterday he did mention another project he has in works for Marvel and now we know what it is
This new iteration of the Future Foundation will be lead by former Power Pack members Alex and Julie Power, joined by one-time Guardians of the Galaxy member Yondu as a "guest professor."
"When the Richards family is called back to Earth to be the Fantastic Four again, they left behind the Future Foundation - a think tank of the most brilliant young minds in the universe- with one mission: find the pieces of and rebuild their friend Molecule Man," reads Marvel's synopsis. "But that’s proved harder than imagined as this crew of young geniuses, Atlanteans, Mutants, Moloids, and androids have run into every problem in the Multiverse."
What’s more, is that Whitley has posted on Twitter a picture of another cast member, trans Moloid girl named Tong, who is well-known to the fans of the previous Future Foundation runs but didn’t make it on the cover. Rest assured, she is back as well
Some more info we have from his Twitter includes:
- No plans to team-up with cast of Unstoppable Wasp...yet
- Artie and Leech are around as well
- First Story is a prison break
On a related note, people happy to see Alex and Julie Power back should also be happy to know Marvel is reuniting Louise Simonson and Julie Brigman for a one-shot Power Pack: Grown Up, set during the classic era of the tea team.
