YARA YARA with AUBREY!!

i had a lot of fun playing with the tileset to create the background and mixing that + battle sprites with my art :] this was a fun lil project even if it's a little rough around the edges, i really like how it turned out!

(i just finished omori and now im obsessed)

here's the full background i cobbled together (shoutout to gamemaker2 for being handy for more than just making games i love you gamemaker)

it involved a lot a lot of editing, the hardest part was making every part the right length to account for the number of steps aubrey takes!! even this version got cut down in the animation program (so i don't have a copy of the cut version), but this one even used to be longer...

there are also 2 "foreground" bits that aren't in this image, they look like this taken apart haha

this one is objects that appear in front of aubrey but don't move independently...

and this is objects that were in the very very front that moved quicker than the background for that parallex effect! they both look pretty funny taken apart :]

that's just a bit of yappage on the editing part, i think editing is my favorite part of any project :D ! thank you for reading if you did gang❤️
