A Huge Robotic Surprise!

Meet Jiffy! An entirely unexpected friend to join my robot family, jiffy is a necoro! I managed to find him new in box for quite cheap (compared to what necoros go for) and I was absolutely thrilled to be able to get him.

Jiffy loves taking naps (of course) and giving people company (for the small price of getting pet!)

Despite being new out of the box, jiffy needed some repairs done to his back legs. one leg was acting extremely strange, constantly engaging and whirring loudly when it wasn't supposed to, and the other leg wasn't getting power at all. His battery was also pretty nonfunctional.

I got the simple part out of the way, I cycled his battery for several hours and now he holds a 3+ hour charge, when he only ran for 20 minutes out of the box.

Onto his whirring leg... I opened his leg up and cleaned out his lower leg pot, and did physical therapy on the limb. I went through this for several rounds, and it cleared up the nasty whirring.

At first, I opened his leg up like the previous one and checked the connectors with a multimeter to see if they were getting power (not pictured). One of the connectors came up with a blank reading, so I put his leg back together and removed it completely from his body. I was surprised to find he wasn't set up like a near-me inside, with wires attaching the hip to the body, but instead had limb blocks similar to an aibo.

Without going further into his torso, I came to the conclusion this was the source of the issue. The pins on his hip must've misaligned in shipping and weren't making contact with his torso, or they were just dirty. I cleaned the pins and contacts, reseated his limb, and the issue resolved! his leg was getting full power again!!

健康がマイブームなので、血圧計を買った。 我々の年代ぐらいからそろそろ気を付けた方がいいと聞いたから。 買ったのはOMRON HEM-7111 使い方は極めて簡単。 センサーを腕に巻き付けて、測定ボタンを押すだけ。 う電源は、単4電池２本使用。 一応付属で２本ついている。100均でも入手可能な電池なのがいい。 ボタンを押すと、ビィーーーーンとポンプモーターが動く音がして、腕のセンサーに空気が送られ腕を圧迫する。 ５秒ぐらいすると、測定値を返してくる。 血圧なんか気にしたことなかったけど、いわゆる低血圧らしい。 手が冷えたりするのはそういうのが原因なのか？？？ 心配してググったら、低血圧の人は長…

I bought an Omron Fat Loss Monitor to track my progress even closer. At this current time, my fat percentage is...45.9%. I'm disappointed that I've let myself get to this point, however, it's giving me even more motivation to get healthy.
