Eli called to his parents that he was leaving as he shoved his wallet with the tattoo sketch in it in his back pocket. He had told them about his plans for the night, and though CeCe seemed slightly disapproving that he was getting a tattoo, both she and Bullfrog had understood and accepted his reasoning for getting one. Bianca had teased him about his tolerance for pain, which he had responded to by flicking her off. Leaving the house, Eli climbed into Morty and started the drive. He vaguely remembered where Owen lived from the one time he had gone over there, so it didn't take him too long to find his way over there. Once he turned on the correct street, he pulled up in front of the house and spied Owen sitting out front like he said he would be. Leaning over, Eli pushed open the passenger side door and turned down the music blasting from his radio. "Let's hurry and get all of the painful stuff over with so I can numb it later with alcohol," he called out to the guy as he approached the hearse.
Miss Understood
Owen opened the door to his house looking around the living room, his mother was usually unconscious on the couch cradling Jose, Jack, or Grey Goose. He shrugged his shoulders maybe she was at one of her ‘friends’ houses, he wished he knew nothing about his mothers sex life but on occasion she’d call him to pick her up and it wasn’t that hard to tell what she’d been doing. He walked up the stairs and opened the door to his room to find his mom sitting at his computer desk he furrowed his brows and clenched his jaw. “Is there a reason why you’re hanging out in my room? There’s nothing in here for..” She held up his trash can “Can you tell me what this is? And why the hell its in my house?” He knew what was in the trash can but he didn’t care about talking to her “it’s a trash can, mom. You know the same place you toss your empty bottles and cigarette stubs.” He walked to his bed and sat down she glared at him before reaching into the trash can and holding up a black square package “This you smartass. I don’t want you having your one night stands under my roof.” He rolled his eyes as he looked at the condom wrapper in her hand grateful that he’d thrown the actual rubber in the bathroom trash can “I don’t have one night stands in here that’s fucking stupid.” She stood up and smacked his mouth “I should have shoved a bar of soap in your mouth when you started with that disrespectful language.” He wiped away the small trickle of blood from his now cut lip she looked at her hand sure enough she was wearing a ring as if she had anticipated needing to slap him. “If you’re done pretending to be a mother or whatever this is you can get out,” he waited for her to turn around and leave but instead she once again sat down tossing the condom wrapper back into the trash can. “If you’re not having sex in here then what do you have a wrapp… please don’t tell me you use them when you’re helping yours..” He looked away “For the love of god mom I never said I didn’t have sex in here they’re just not one night stands and can you never bring that other subject up.” She laughed and crossed her legs “Are you trying to tell me that you’re still with that one girl, the quirky one? The one who had my grandbaby, a grandbaby that you never let me see might I add.” He took a breath, he’d tried to explain to her numerous times that it wasn’t his baby but she never believed him or was to drunk to understand, at this point he was tired of correcting her. “Yeah mom I’m still with her and she put the baby up for adoption there’s nothing I can do about it,” she frowned and he wondered why she even wanted a grandkid he was still in high school and she didn’t seem to care about him or Tristan, who could be considered a baby. “Do you at least have a picture?” He reached into his pocket for his phone, he actually had a picture of Blythe in his phone that Imogen had sent him, he handed her the phone and looked at her not sure what was going on. His mom stared at the picture and a smile seemed to appear on her face “She’s beautiful. Look at that dark hair, whats her name?” She handed him his phone back “Blythe, Imogen likes to be different.” He smiled and she seemed to be studying him “I want to meet her,” he shook his head “I told you she put her up for adoption you can’t.” She nodded “I know, I want to meet Imogen, this girl obviously means a lot to you if she can make you smile like an idiot.” He cocked his eyebrow, of course she would insult him when it seemed like they were having a nice conversation. He leaned back trying to think of some excuse so that Imogen didn’t have to meet his mother, as if she knew what he was doing she smacked his leg. “I said I want to meet her. I expect to see both of you tonight in that kitchen with your brother and myself, no excuses.” He groaned and tilted his head back so he was staring at the ceiling “Fine. But I want you sober and civil. Why a sudden interest in me anyway?” She stood up and stepped out before closing the door she looked back at him “Just because I seem out of it most of the time doesn’t mean I don’t notice when my son is becoming a man. A better man than his father ever was, you take care of things even though I never asked you. Thank you.” She closed the door leaving him to think that maybe he’d been wrong about what kind of person she was. He reached for his phone Anyway you can have dinner at my house tonight, my mom wants to meet you he sent the message and waited for a reply.
omswagg replied to your post: Full name? including your middle name or names
hahaha I’m gonna call you Lew
Please don't.
omswagg replied to your post: why not?
DO IT!!
You do realize your girlfriend and I are both in drama club, right? There is a chance either one of us - or possible both of us - could be one of the two people that have to play out this sex scene. I don't know where exactly you stand on having to see me naked, but I'm pretty sure you won't want Im on display like that for the whole school.
omswagg replied to your post: The way you’re behaving about this Fitz thing is infuriating. All the times you’ve screwed up in the past and whined about how all you wanted was a little forgiveness, and now Clare makes the same mistake and you throw the book at her, and then run off to brag to Owen about giving her a taste of her own medicine? No matter how badly your other friends screw up you always forgive them, but the girl who supposedly means the most to you in the world you completely shut out?
You bragged about something to me??
According to the anon, I did. I guess they must have a much better memory than me of the things I do.
omswagg replied to your post: remember that time you cheated on clare
Alright fuck it I have to know. When did you cheat on Clare?
A long, long, long time ago. It wasn't intentional; I had no clue what I was doing. I was wasted, I was in that kind of a mood, and Clare was nowhere nearby. I couldn't even remember I did it until a month or so later.
Fast Lane
Owen woke up to the sound of his cellphone buzzing on his desk, he looked down and smiled seeing Imogen asleep in his arms. He kissed the top of her head and slowly pulled away from her being sure not to wake her, he walked to his desk and picked up his phone, it was 5am. There was a text from Rex Come to the warehouse. Now. He frowned and looked back at Imogen in his bed, he didn’t want to wake her up and tell her to go home so instead he put his clothes on and pulled the bed covers over her. He hoped that whatever Rex wanted it was quick and he’d be able to come back to Imogen, he locked his door so she wouldn’t be woken up by his mom or brother and walked down to his Jeep. He drove the familiar path to the warehouse and parked, it looked like no one was around the only other parked car was an SUV that belonged to Rex. He took a breath and walked inside, no one was working on cars and it was quiet his heart started to race wondering what it could mean “Rex, are you here? Dude this isn’t funny.” He heard footsteps and finally Rex emerged with a smirk on his face “I thought it was funny. Follow me to my office man we have shit to talk about.”
Owen sat across from Rex who was looking through some paper work, they had been sitting in silence for 15 minutes and he was beginning to lose his patience he’d glance at his watch every moment he could. Rex finally shoved the papers into a cabinet and folded his hands on his desk “Is there somewhere you’d rather be?” Owen smirked “Uh yeah actually. I left my girlfriend at my house and she’ll be waking up any moment so..” Rex’s facial expression had changed so Owen stopped talking “Is that why you haven’t been around? You’re too busy fucking your girlfriend to come work? Owen you’re a good guy and an old friend but I answer to people too and when you don’t do your job it makes me look bad.” His words made Owen look at Rex’s face, he had a split lip and a black eye. Lately he had been showing up to work less and less but he didn't think it would be bad because Rex liked him enough not to push him. “I’m sorry. It wasn't my intention to miss work and then let you take the fall I ju..” Rex shook his head, it was obvious he didn’t feel like listening anymore. “Owen you’ve been working for me for a little over a year and I know you’ve made enough that you no longer have to work for me and if that’s the case you could have told me. We need people that deliver not people that make us look bad, tell me right now if you’re still with me.” He hadn’t given it much thought but the fact was that he definitely had made more than enough that he’d be well off until his late 40’s, he was never one to spend on things he didn’t need, working with Rex seemed unnecessary. “I think I’m done. I appreciate that you helped me out of a difficult time and that you’ve been a great boss but I don’t want to be part of this anymore.” Imogen never found out about his job and now it seemed like she never would, he wouldn’t have to tell her about it. Rex nodded his head “Owen you’re like a brother to me so I hate to see you go and more importantly I hate to have to do this to you but it has to be done. This is a gang man you knew that coming in.” Owen swallowed, leaving a gang means that you get jumped out “Please, can’t I just pay you or something. I can’t hide if you jump me out.” Rex shrugged his shoulders “I’m sorry it’s the way it is. It’s gonna hurt me a lot more than it’ll hurt you.”
Owen stood under a dim light surrounded by four guys that in the past year he’d gotten to really know, they all had family problems similar to his own or worse and joined for either money or to no longer be alone. Even if he wanted to stay the truth was that he no longer belonged. He had someone that loved him and who he loved and money was no longer an issue. He could see the conflicted expressions on their face, they didn’t want to be doing this anymore than he wanted it to happen so to make it easier he closed his eyes “It‘s okay. This is what has to happen just try not to kill me.” A few of the guys laughed and he clenched his jaw waiting for the first hit. It was just 90 seconds of his life and then he’d get to go home hopefully in one piece. The first shot was given straight to his jaw and he stumbled backwards before more hits followed, he felt blows all across his body and every once in a while a hit to his face. He felt his knees buckle and he let himself fall, the room started to spin and then nothing but black.
Owen felt cold water being poured onto his face and he quickly sat up feeling immense pain in his rib cage and eye, he coughed and looked around the room. All the guys were still there and one handed him an ice pack he quickly placed it to his cheek and took a breath, at least it was over. “Sorry O, I think I might have given you the blow that knocked you out.” He looked up at a guy he knew as Tex and he shook his head “Nah don’t worry about it, shit happens. How long was I out?” The guys looked around for a watch and then whistled “Like 5 hours. For a moment we thought we’d killed you.” They all chuckled and he just shook his head, it was amazing how they all just acted like nothing had happened and everything was just like before. “Oh, bro your phone has been blasting non stop all from someone named Imo. I think you have a few voice mails, something tells me you’re in the shit house.” Owen took a breath “Fuck! She’s gonna think I left her or some shit. Couldn't you have tried to wake me up earlier.” Rex walked out of his office and saw him starting to stand “Whoa, take it easy man, slow and steady. We did try to wake you but you were out cold. Again I’m sorry about this but anytime you need something we’ll still be your fam, right?” Rex looked around the room at the guys who simply nodded, Owen stood up and stretched some of his sore muscles reaching for his phone. “Thanks. Honestly, how bad do I look??” The room stayed quiet as they examined him a guy named Peewee started to laugh “Well maybe your girl will want to play nurse when she sees you.” The room erupted in laughter and he flicked them off then waved goodbye as he walked out of the warehouse. If he honestly thought he’d be able to hide anything from Imogen he was wrong, he spit onto the ground to see red and he jumped into his jeep. Maybe it'd be best to try and talk to her later, his head was once again spinning and he just wanted to close his eyes. He looked at his phone, noon, he had a few voice mails but before he could call her back his eyelids dropped and he fell asleep in his car.
