//// say whatever you want about toronto, but for me, there is very little that encapsulates what i (often reluctantly) love about the city like nuit blanche, the citywide overnight art festival. it brings out the true spirit of what i believe toronto is and can be. many people dismiss nuit blanche as a night of drunken teenagers roaming the streets causing trouble (that's the beaches jazz fest actually) or university students on acid being idiots and pretending they know about art. it may have both, but it is much more. it's what toronto is when it's not up its own ass so much.
