Ok but picture this...

The curse in Hyperion Heights is broken, and everyone is making their way to Roni's for a celebratory drink. Hook has his arm around Alice's shoulders as they walk while she holds Anastasia's hand (that's my theory for her GF that used to work for Tremaine) when suddenly he gets distracted by a flash of red hair and a face that looks vaguely familiar. Excusing himself from the group with promises to catch up, he goes after the red head and pull up short when he finally sees her.

"Swan?" He mutters, astonished and confused as to why she's there, and has different hair. She turns with a raised eyebrow and shakes her head.

"No? Can I help you? With that stupid curse breaking, everyone is kind of lost." Her eyes fill with genuine concern for him.

"Apologies lass, you just look remarkably like this other woman I know. Her name was Emma." He turns to go, but is stopped when the woman touches his arm.

"Its Anna actually. I was trying to find my grandmother. She helped raise me on her farm after my parents were killed defeating the evil queen in our realm. Perhaps you've heard of them in your travels? Snow and David Shepard?"

"No, not your parents, but I would love to hear the tale while I help you find your grandmother. My- family is very good at finding people."

"Ok."

And that's how the series ends. Wish Hook meeting an alternate version of our Emma. And they just walk next to each other in the vague direction that is Roni's. Because stories never actually end. There is always an after. We just don't always get to see it. And yep, that is what I want.

One of the biggest problems I see Once facing next season is establishing the new characters. If Once was still being written like it was a few years ago, I wouldn’t be as worried. But the emphasis on plot over character the last few seasons makes the next season with new characters harder to establish.

I watched for the characters, not the plot.

Here’s hoping that Regina’s “real friend” line is irony and we find out she isn’t the “real friend” she claims to be.

I mean it was a given when she brutally murdered Emma’s parents in front of her, then made the excuse that she thought Emma would stop her.

But let’s hope that the dust falls from the characters eyes and they stop making excuses and considering Regina a friend. A title she hasn’t earned.

And, yes, I’m still salty about the BS of split queen. Emma thinks Killian has left her because he was unable to deal with his past, but Regina literally split her past off from herself.

If this is a weird author scenario, is there any chance Henry can rewrite the final battle with Rumple and Regina as the big bads?

I still think the black fairy was weak as hell and the final battle sucked.

Chances of ABC doing a Once retrospective before the series finale?

BLESSINGS

So after some set spoilers came out, this is how I picture this event going down. If you’re spoiler free, skip this one!

“So, why are we out here? I didn’t think I was the person you’d want to take a moonlit stroll with.” He teased the pirate and was rewarded with a grin. They were leaning against the railing staring out into the water, David could feel the nerves radiating off Hook’s body. Finally, the man sighed and turned to him.

“I want to ask Emma for her hand.” David’s eyebrows shot up in shock. That was not what he had expected.

“Are you- asking for my permission? That doesn’t sound like you-” He couldn’t hide the confusion from his tone, or his face when Hook shook his head.

“No, no, Emma is her own woman and makes her own decisions. No offense mate, but our love passed a test from the Gods themselves.” That was new information to him. Apparently more happened in the Underworld than Emma had told. “I don’t need your permission, but,” David had never heard this man so nervous, “I would like your blessing. That you believe I’m worthy enough.”

David stayed silent a moment, contemplating his thoughts. After everything they had all been through, all this man had done for them, and he still questioned his place amongst them.

“I knew this Prince once, back in the Enchanted Forest, he convinced me to break into the Evil Queen’s castle to rescue his Princess.” Hook scoffed fondly and David couldn’t help but smile. “Granted his Princess had stolen my ring, but I could tell how much he loved and cared for her. He too was worried that her parents wouldn’t approve of him. Do you know what I told him?”

“That they would be crazy not too.” Hook’s voice was quiet as he echoed David’s words back to him.

“Yes, of course. It might have been a rocky beginning, but I cannot picture anyone more worthy.” David clapped Hook and the back with and chuckle. “Try as I might to repress the thought, you’ve been part of this family since you turned your ship around and helped save Henry from Pan.” He chuckled then at the surprised look on Hook’s face. “I’ll deny that if you ever tell anyone.” Hook chuckled and he watched the man’s shoulders relax. “Let’s go get a beer or something. It’s too cold to be out here.”

“Aye, first round’s on me.”

“Does the Rabbit Hole even take doubloons?”

“Oh, shove off, mate.”

The Fates

One sister spun thread, one measured the length, and one cut it to end the life. The shears that have appeared on ONCE are the shears that were used by the eldest sister to cut the thread, in effect ending someone’s life. 

Now I know all of you think Killian kept those shears to save Emma when the time comes, but if it was as easy as anyone snipping off the savior magic, Jafar would have done that himself - not left it up to Aladdin. 

I have a different theory. Remember where the Fates were found in the Disney movie? Remember who recently died and took a certain beloved person’s life just prior to dying in the most cruel fashion? Remember who is making a “sort of” comeback? 

Yeah, I remember. I think Killian is going to try to use the shears to bargain for Robin’s lifethread. I bet those Fates aren’t happy without their shears you know.... I’m just saying.

I never thought Killian was running a con, I always thought he would flip the script and like before realize that his revenge will get him nowhere and do what Rumple was never able to do and choose love over power and revenge
