Wake Up & Run || Aurora & Jaz
Striding into the gym at Argo, Jaz took a moment to take it all in. It was her favorite place back home as nothing beat just slipping on a pair of sneakers and hitting the pavement - or, in this case, the indoor track. When she had discovered there was one available for students, it was just like Christmas morning had come early for the student.
She had wasted no time digging out the running shoes - light blue with yellow accents - that she had brought all the way from Santa Monica. It might have been a silly thing to bring as she could have easily bought a new pair here, but there was a sentimental value behind her shoes. Her running shoes had been her friend and it was with them that she had prepared her one-day escape from that restrictive place. Luckily, Jaz had been able to escape through more conventional methods, that being college.
And while Argo had been perfect, the climate was much different and it was difficult for her to acclimate to running outdoors. Therefore, she had ended up here and the rows of machinery was definitely adding another spring to her step…seriously, was there anything she was going to hate about this place? Being wrapped up in all of her thoughts brought a slight smile to her face as she walked along, oblivious to the fact that she might look crazy to anyone how may have looked up at that moment.
Jaz paused a moment to tie her shoe before looking up and noticing another person walking in the same direction as her. It was unusual to see the gym so empty, especially at this time, so it was nice to see another face. Catching his eye for a moment, she offered a slight smile in her direction.
