A bit belated, but Merry Christmas. Make terrible choices. ❦
Jasmine smiled, turning the bottle in her hands. "Only if I can count on you to make them with me." She grinned, stepping aside to let hiim in. "Merry Christmas, Claude."

[text] Put the bottle down, you deranged child.
[text] But it fiiiiits.
[text] I guess I can call you Claudikins. Does that work?
[text] Okay, but if you don’t hurry, I’m gonna eat all this popcorn before the movie.
[text] Then what am I supposed to fling at you when I get scared?
[text] What is it with you and glitter? It’s bloody weird.
[text] You could, of course, try a little self-control and not fling anything at anyone. Just a suggestion.
[text] Before I die, I will show you wonders of glitter.
[text] But really, you look so dashing with popcorn in your hair. It's not as great as glitter, but you know, it'll do.
[text] Wanna go to the Ke$ha concert with me? Think about it on your way over.

[text] Put the bottle down, you deranged child.
[text] you don’t know that, you presumptuous little skank.
[text] but yes fine I’m coming over
[text] I still hate you
[text] YES. I’ll wait for you, Glittykins.
[text] You can say that all you want.
[text] But I know you love me somewhere deep down.
[text] Very deep down.
[text] 1. Stop calling me that
[text] 2. no
[text] 3. Give me fifteen minutes
[text] But it fiiiiits.

[text] My god, you’re persuasive. I’m already on my way.
[text] Except I’m not, because I can drink myself into the stupor in the comfort of my own home.
[text] That said, though. where are you?
[text] Why do you hate me so?
[text] I even picked up that new horror movie you wanted to see.
[text] Don’t make me watch it alone.
[text] Are you asking because you’re going to come over?
[text] don’t take it personally. I hate everyone.
[text] …I might. You’ve got my attention, at least.
[text] I’ll try not to take it too personally.
[text] Well, I’m at home. Movie starts in twenty. I’ve got the popcorn and the vodka.
[text] Besides, it’s not like you’ve got any other plans.

[text] Can’t beat me.
[text] So join me.
[text] There’s already a glass with your name on it.
[text] You need to re-examine your life and your choices.
[text] Come and examine them with me?

Black As Night, Sweet As Sin || Shang & Jaz
Pressing his face into his pillow, he moaned irritably at the sound of his cellphone ringing. Shang worked late into the night and early morning, went home for a few hours, then buttoned his uniform on again for the afternoon. He had taken on another shift because he had thought the experience and extra money would be good for him, and anyway, he could run on very little sleep, no problem. It wasn’t like he had anything better to do than work. But, this was his only time for rest before heading back on duty and the sound of the default ringtone on the phone was like taking a cheese grater to his ears. His hand slipped out of the comforter and curled around the phone, grateful that it was silenced once he answered.
"Hello," he greeted her groggily. His throat was parched, and as a result his voice came out huskier than he’d intended. The other voice registered in his mind. Adira, the girl from the other night.
His eyes shot open and he shifted himself into a sitting position. “Yes, ehehe,” he chuckled nervously. “This is Officer Li. How have you been?” Instantly, he felt like a silly teenaged girl in an eighties movie, the kind who said all sorts of awkward things and twirled her finger around a phone cord and why was he comparing himself to Molly Ringwald?
He stood from bed and stretched, listening intently to her while he considered staying awake until his next shift.
Shit, shit, shit!
Jaz felt herself cringe inwardly as his voice carried through the speaker of her cell phone. Of course he was going to answer...she probably should have planned out what she was going to say as opposed to just standing there, staring out the window stupidly. It wasn't the fact that he had answered that had sent her heart cartwheeling, but the fact that his voice on the other end sounded husky, deep...like he had just woken up.
Resisting the urge to squeal like a school girl, Jaz quietly hit her head against the windowpane repeatedly until she realized that the line was quiet - probably in expectations that she was going to speak. Quickly trying to recap his words in her mind - trust me, she remembered them all...how could she not with that husky voice? - she realized he had asked her how she was doing.
"Uh, sorry for waking you up." She started with, not all that sorry at all. "I've been well, just y'know hanging around. What about you?" Giving him a couple minutes to respond, she started chewing on her thumbnail nervously wondering if she should even bring up the coffee.
Finally realizing that if she didn't, the pair would be on the phone talking about nothing she broached the topic carefully. "So, I was calling because I realized I never gave you my number," She blurted out, sheepishly noting that that was not what she was supposed to ask. "Sorry about that."
"Sorry about this--" he began before quickly kissing her nose. "--sort of."
"Oh, hey, wh —"
"Guess I can cross kissing strangers off my bucketlist. Don’t try that again, pretty boy."

Wake Up & Run || Aurora & Jaz
She nodded"Yes I did, I think were going out sometime later this week. I really hope it goes well."
Aurora quriked her brow surprise Jasmine knew exactly what she was talking about. She would of never thought she would of guessed that, but she was grateful she did. The girl always held all her emotions in when it came to her parents, so it was a relief to actually talk to someone about it. "Really.. You lost your mom…" She frowned. “I lost my mom and dad when I was eight years old. In a car crash, right before we were going to a play." Her eyes became glossy as she talked about that night, she never had talked about it with anyone besides her aunts. “I blame myself for their death. We were going to see my favorite play. The Nutcracker…"
Jasmine pulled her knees to her chest before resting her chin on her knees. Glancing up through her eyelashes, she studied Aurora for a moment before dropping her eyes again and listening closely. It was the ending that made Jaz snap her eyes up again and look into Aurora's slightly damp ones. Reaching out, she put her hand on top of Aurora's without even thinking, "It's not your fault. You can't think like that."
She bit her own lip slightly before continuing. "You'll beat yourself up forever if you think of it that way, y'know? If it wasn't your favorite play, it would have been another play. I think about that sometimes - what if my Mom had just stayed home that night instead of going with my Dad? But it doesn't help to relive it like that." She looked up again into Aurora's eyes. "It wasn't your fault."
"I'm sorry." She finished lamely before letting her hand linger for one more moment and then pulling it back.
Hello, I Love You || Alex & Jaz
"So, our convo at Turbo’s was cut short. Tell me more about yourself, Alex."
"Uuuh, why are you bothering me again? I love joanna and you’re not here. So yeah. Bye."
"Who the hell is Joanna and how come you're so caught up on her, anyways? I'm sure I could show you a few things she couldn't."
