Inner Demons - Chapter One.
I was awake. But it sure as hell didn't feel like it ever since the incident.
My eyes were closed, but I knew where I was. I was currently in the guest room of my Nan's comfortable home, in the bed, buried beneath the quilts she's made over the years.
"Lacey," my elderly grandmother's voice called out as she touched my cheek, probably the only thing visible since I've made myself a nest in the quilts. "You have to wake up."
I groaned and turned on my stomach.
"It's five past noon, sweetie. You have to wake up." she says, releasing her wrinkled hand from my cheek.
I opened my right eye and groggily moved my upper body, turning myself to my elderly grandmother. "Sorry, Nan," I apologized as I took my arms over my head to stretch.
I closed my eyes as I stretched my legs and moaned. It felt amazing to stretch after sleeping for what feels like an eternity.
I peeled my brown eyes open and put my attention on my nan who was sitting on the edge of the bed. "No need to apologize, darlin'," she smiles sympathetically. "Anyways, your Aunt Julia is coming over to pick you up in fifty minutes. She wants to take you out and get some fresh air," my grandmother concludes as she opens the guest bedroom door and closes it before I go protesting against hanging out with my Aunt.
A fifteen minute shower later, there I am, standing in a mirror, in leggings and an old sweatshirt of my father's.
I rested my elbows on the white sink and stared at my reflection. My eyes were dull, and no longer held a warm chocolate color, they were just emotionless and sulked in. My once bubblegum pink lips are now chapped and less plump. The color my rosy cheeks once held were pale, just like my skin.
Before the incident, it was an olive tone I inherited from my father. Before the incident my eyes were filled with overjoyment and great emotion. Before the incident, my lips were smooth and soft, not to forget how plump and pink they naturally were. Before the incident my cheeks held a permanent blush that I wanted to get rid of so bad, but now I want it back.
Before the incident, I was happy.
I was interrupted with my thoughts as the doorbell chimed and my Nan yelled from downstairs, 'C'mon, sweetie! Go see your aunt! She misses you."
My Aunt Julie smiled greatly when I got in the passenger seat of her minivan.
"Lacey! I missed you so much!" my loving aunt squealed as she pulled me into a warming and comforting hug.
Despite how I've seen everyone for Christmas Eve, she always acts like she hasn't seen her niece in years.
"I missed you too, Auntie Jules," I murmured in her hair. It felt so good to be held in someones arms again. Yes, I had a boyfriend. But since I graduated a semester earlier than everyone else in my senior year, he was busy with other friends, family and..homework. I talked to him every night though, and since he was on winter break - which lasted two weeks - we could Skype just about every other night.
We managed to strike up a conversation about someone else other than people that we didn't like, since we both seemed to dislike the same type of people.
"Yeah!" I giggled - probably the first time in a month - as we discussed some of my Nan's habits, like mumbling Latin whenever she goes into a corner. Aunt Julie took a sharp turn to the right on the road. "Anyways, how are the kids?" I questioned, attempting to recover from my aunt's reckless driving skills.
My aunt's face lightened dramatically. "They're doing amazing!" she praised. "Aiden won his hockey game last night, and Casey is becoming a lot more social," Aunt Julie said, her smile widening of how successful her son was doing and how her younger daughter was finally coming out of her shy shell."
I smiled sympathetically to my relative and diverted my attention to the road. It was silent until I saw something. No - someone. A moss of chocolate curls, piercing green eyes, a tall lean frame, and a smirk that has sexy written all over it, just standing in front of us! Like it wanted to be hurt by us.
"Auntie Julie! Stop the car!" I hollered, pointing to the person standing merely 30 feet away from us.
"What? Why!" she anxiously yelled as she halted on the breaks, but it was too late.
We hit someone. We hit a person. We ran over an innocent being, that is now struggling to breathe.
I immediately jumped to my feet and ran out the car, trying to rescue the person we hit.
I bolted to the hood of the car, searching for a hit male. I couldn't find one.
Underneath the car? I searched beneath the car as I heard my aunt's feet scrambling on the pavement towards me. Nothing. Nothing was there. But how?
My aunt grabbed my wrist, and pulled me up from the cold, early January pavement with snow littering around it.
"What was that?" she asked as we got back into the warmth of her minivan.
I shook my head, trying to sort out what just happened. "I-I..I thought I saw someone. It looked so real, Auntie Julie."
I said, staring ahead at the window, aware of her confused and horrified eyes on my trembling body.
She grabbed my left hand and kissed it before caressing it in the two of hers, "It's okay, Lacey." she said, releasing my hand.
After ten minutes of awkward silence, she asked, "Lacey? Have you..been having 'appearances' again?" she hesitated as we pulled into the vast parking lot of the super market.
I gasped. Maybe that is what happened.
I have been known to have a minor case of schizophrenia, in which my family called 'appearances'. Though I know how to control it, which is why I haven't seen any of my 'characters' in about a year. The last time I saw one was 'Billy'.
Billy was extremely friendly, my first actual friend and my first character. He was a five year old boy, gingered scruffy hair and beautiful brown eyes. He was always giggling and smiling. We hung out beneath my covers on lonely nights or when I cried over something - like a nightmare - and he'd give me advice. Not to mention, he was probably the reason why I graduated early.
I aced every class, all because each test I was given, Billy would tell me the answer, but in my senior year I haven't seen him at all, so I've been studying on my own. As insane as it sounded, Billy was my symbol of help and trust.
I was broken away from my thoughts when my relative asked, "You coming in?"
We were currently in the Soup aisle. "We'll be done in ten minutes" was over a half over ago. I wanted to bother her about it bought right now I didn't want to pester her anymore or rise her blood pressure, I've already done that once today and that is enough.
I began to tap on my leggings as Julie began to walk down the aisle, towards the cash registers and check out. I mentally thanked God.
But my prayer was short lived as she stopped and began looking at the various tomato soup cans. I sighed, beginning to grow impatient and anxious.
Anxious? What?
My heart was thumping in my chest, and I hadn't known why, but I instantly threw myself at my aunt, somehow making me feel more comfortable.
As minutes passed, my heart continued to dance erratically in my chest, and my beloved aunt was still scanning soup cans.
"Lacey, would you please go fetch me some saltine crackers from the next aisle?" my heart plummeted to my stomach. What?! I could not do that, for sure.
"Of course," my subconscious said for me. I have an inner battle with myself, aka, my inner demon. She's always trying to put me in harms way, to get me so scared I make a fool of myself.
My legs moved by themselves and brought me to the aisle where the crackers were. My brown eyes gazed the shelves, trying to recognize the brand she buys most of the time.
When I found it, I walked myself to her aisle, only to be stopped by someone.
The someone that we hit.
Except this person had black eyes. No iris, no sclera, but just one large pupil in each eye.
The person's frame towered over mine dramatically as he evilly smiled down at my terrified figure.
"Hello, Lacey," he spoke, in a deep, hypnotizing, lyrical voice.
I wanted to scream.
I wanted to cry.
I wanted to curl up in a ball and die.
I wanted to get out, but now I knew for sure there is no way I'll be able to find myself out of this situation.
Surprise!
So since you followers have been so faithful in my time of family issues and medical problems, I’m going to be writing a FanFiction, featuring some of you guys! So if you would like to be in it.. Message me, but PLEASE DO NOT ask for any parts yet because I will either delete your message or ask you to read this post.
Anyways, I’m starting fresh and I’m sorry if you have requested an imagine or preference (regular, bsm,DDM), but I’m starting ALL NEW to get going, so message me!
Also: Would you want me to post this on 1DFF?

How Should I start the Reverse Dark Ashton?
Okay someone sent me a description on the Harry Dark story, can i get it again, it somehow got deleted from my inbox
I can explain why the writing is blurry. It's because the app I use to make these picture imagines makes the writing the same way as the picture. And this picture is blurry, so it made the writing blurry.
Hey! PLEASE READ, YOU COULD GET A PART IN THE STORY.
If you help me decide something and you are the first to respond (Message ME) you can be in the story if you are one of the FIRST TWO PEOPLE TO RESPOND! There could STILL be parts for others though! BE HONEST!
What you NEED to decide is this, and TELL ME WHY YOU PICKED WHO YOU DID: Okay, so I’m making a FanFiction and I don’t know if I should use Harry, Zayn, or Niall as the main boy (No offense to Liam or Louis, but it’ll make sense in the story), but like the girl is Louis’ sister and they know they’re related and she has to go live with Louis’, Fizzy’s, Lottie’s, Daisy’s, and Phoebe’s mom (Jay) which is her mom but she never really got a chance to get to know any of them. They story’s kinda dark so should I use Niall, Zayn, or Harry as the main boy? Thank you!
Thank you! Please message me:)
