I noticed something about TF One

In the beginning of the film, D-16 is very rigid about following the rules, in contrast to Orion who is much more fast and loose with them

But as we know, Megatron's destiny is to be a tyrant and wannabe conqueror/absolute dictator of the universe

See, despite breaking the rules in the biggest way, Megatron's stance on the rules ultimately will not change, "follow the rules, don’t cause trouble", the only difference being that now HE is the on making the rules, now instead of it being "follow the rules don’t cause trouble and things will work out for us" it is "follow the rules don’t cause trouble or I will make you suffer"

The song The Line by Twenty One Pilot actually fits Orion/Optimus and D/Megatron perfectly well. The lyrics match both of those two and how the changes they endured shattered their relationship.

This line hit me harder than the others. Optimus and Megatron likely kept the memories of the other before everything went south.

This one is painfully accurate. They'll ask each other if their actions disappoint the other, already knowing the answer.

If I cross the line.

This last one feels like thousands of knives stab me. This line not only goes well with Megatron, who will commit terrible war crimes, but Optimus as well. In many series, Optimus is willing to sacrifice any chances to restore Cybertron to save Earth. To Megatron, Optimus has a cross line that he won't forgive.

The reason why Megatronus Prime is not The Fallen in Transformers One?

I rewatched Transformers One now that it's available on home media (and you should too! Please! The movie didn't do so well in theaters and it deserves a sequel) and I realize that the plot is very SW/Jedi/the dark side is bad

Like just from the contrast of our main characters

Orion/Optimus is very Jedi-like in his compassion, emotional self-control, selflessness and focus on what's best for everyone

Compare D-16/Megatron, who over the course of the plot becomes emotional, volatile, quick to anger, uncontrolled, bloodthirsty and above all selfish, prioritizing HIS need for revenge over exposing the truth and helping everyone, culminating in him accidentally and then intentionally murdering a friend, and most importantly it doesn't stop there, once Megatron has his revenge it's not enough, he needs to burn everything down and take control himself

Not to mention how the High Guard/Proto-Decepticons follow that same "the strongest rules, and who is the strongest is determined by combat" that the sith live by

One could only imagine what would it been like if Nightbird was in Transformers: One. Considering I'm now a big Megbird shipper, I wonder what role she would have played and her relationship with D-16 would been like.

Would she have been one of the high elite members and a member of Cybertron's proud warriors? Or would she been another cogeless miner who dreams of becoming a ninja?

Nightbird's relationship with D-16 would also be interesting. If Nightbird has a coge already, would she and D-16 be in a relationship regardless of their social difference? Does Cybertron allow relationships between social classes?

I'd like to think that Nightbird has a calming presence on him. After D-16 became Megatron and Nightbird joined him, she was the only one who he shows his vulnerable side.
