Making a List, Checking it a Million Times
Last night was one of the most interesting (and oddly least inebriated) evenings I have spent in Portland. We spent the evening at the Smoked event as part of Feast Portland… In the rain… For three hours. On our way back to the hotel we decided to try our luck at the Multnomah Whiskey Library. The wait was going to be up to three hours, so we went back to the hotel. We got the call around…

One Oak By Sara
I always love the thrill of the hunt, finding something amazing where you'd least expect it. The gym is the absolute LAST place I'd expect to find anything but a cramp, but that's exactly where I discovered jewelry line, One Oak by Sara.
I met Sara Reichert at her one day pop-up jewelry shop in, yes, my gym. It's a fancy gym. Displayed on natural linen and linen bust forms, every piece begged to be tried on. Necklaces, bracelets, earrings, rings...her line runs the gamut of choices. Each piece is as lovely and wearable as the next, all lovingly made by Sara herself with vintage pendants and natural stones sourced from South America. While working in sales for Calphalon cookware, a jewelry making class led Sara to follow her bliss and make jewelry full-time. Combining natural stones like agate and quartz with raw metals and vintage elements, the line is clean, modern and completely covetable. For $78 to $250 you can own a statement piece reminiscent of luxury designers Monique Pean and Kimberly McDonald and still make rent!
One Oak by Sara can be found in boutiques nationwide and is also sold online. She's currently in talks to peddle her wares at the mecca of accessories, Henri Bendel. My choice is the raw metal chain with vintage pendant, the perfect partner for my many Equipment blouses. Look out Lulu Frost...Sara's coming for you!
