Request: Hello Valentina, can I request a Jack blurb for the one year project? Something along the lines of meeting him through Ben or James and at first she doubts him because he gives her Fckboy vibes but after spending more time together she overcomes her fears and they start dating.
When you told James you were moving soon, his face suddenly got sad. The idea of not being around you every day and not being able to see you when he needed you most already haunted him. You're his best friend, people like you are hard to find. He knows you're not one of those people who disappears just because you can't see each other every single day, that you probably will be in touch more than before, and that he should be happy for you because you look happy, but he can't take that expression off his face.
"Don't make that face, Birmingham is only an hour away" his expression goes from sad to confused until he realizes what you just said to him and then he can be happy for you without thinking about himself first. You laugh as soon as he hugs you, wrapping your arms around his body.
"He finally asked you, huh?"
"No James, I'll show up in front of his house with all my stuff and he won't have a choice. What do you think?" you answer sarcastically, rolling your eyes and he puffs, but he doesn't take the relaxed expression off his face.
He was the one who actually introduced you to Jack almost a year and a half ago. He had dragged you to his friend's party saying that you needed some fun and that's where you had seen him for the first time live, where he had been introduced to you in an official way.
You can't deny it, at first glance he gave you the impression he was a guy who only thinks about sleeping with every breathing girl - his look up and down your body soon confirmed it.
All night long you tried to avoid him as much as possible, even if there was something attracting you to him. Every time your gaze rested on him, even if only by accident, he was already there to look back at you. But you didn't want to be another girl to add to his list and he could brag about the next day with his friends. You were resisting, but your beliefs were in danger of wavering as time passed.
You find out that very night that James and Jack are apparently good friends, your friend invites him to stay at his place for the night because it's quite late. He doesn't seem to remember that he has the same plan with you until you get in the car, but at this point you can't say no to him. Right?
Trying to sleep knowing that the boy is in the room a few steps away from yours doesn't help and you puff getting out of bed. You get a hand in your hair, clenching your fist around them trying to get some thoughts out of your head. Why are you so obsessed with him now? You thought you made it clear to your body that there would be nothing with him, yet your brain didn't take it into account.
Convinced that a little fresh air would help you, you're heading for James's garden as quietly as possible. But as soon as you get to the rocking chair, your favourite spot there, you stop on the spot.
"Oh sorry, I didn't mean to disturb you" one of your feet is ready to go backwards when his eyes rest on your face.
"No please, come" he smiles at you slightly so you're standing next to him, his legs are long enough to swing that bench.
"You can' t sleep?" you ask, cursing yourself mentally right afterwards. Nice way to break the ice, but again you wonder why you're worrying about it.
"The beds not mine give me this problem" he shrugs and you find yourself looking at him surprised.
"You're a football player, sleeping in beds that aren't yours is practically your job!" you state almost making fun of him and he giggles.
"I guess I have some kind of routine that I couldn't do right now, so here I am"
"What about you?"
"Uh, nothing special, just one of those days you know"
The next day Jack is already gone when you wake up, but next to your phone there's a note with his phone number and you think about whether or not to throw it away. The night before had been nice, but there's still a very small part of you telling you that it could all be a technique to get you into his bed.
Despite this, however, you contacted him days later, he had left the buck to you and it was only fair that he felt some pressure if he really cared about you.
There are other occasions when you can see him, the fact that James is there keeps you from committing some bullshit honestly. You've still got such a mess in your head even though you're now talking on the phone on regular basis. And you agree to go out with him also because of the alcohol in your system, but it's a choice you don't regret after the current date.
When you finally let yourself go it's all downhill, he's not the one you pictured in your head from the first moment you saw him and he was persuasive enough not to give up and make you understand it. That date is followed by another one and yet another one, over and over again you find yourself going to him to spend some time together and it's only a matter of time before something bursts and you find yourself kissing on the couch of his house.
The days went on and on, month after month you went on as best you could. Until one day Jack's outburst came, his admitting he couldn't go on like this, his need to want you by his side every hour of the day and he asked you to move in. You couldn't say no to him because his needs matched yours.
"Don't let him convert you into an Aston Villa fan" James warns you in a threatening tone.
Here we go for another day, this is another long long one so enjoy it. This contains a sensitive topic such as death mention so I understand if you won’t read it.
You feel a little weight on your body as you wake up and sigh, almost unconsciously holding onto John.
"Good morning" he whispers in your ear with his hoarse voice, leaving a kiss underneath it and holding you a little longer.
"Morning" you sigh by sinking your head into the pillow as you can but he rolls on his back on the mattress carrying you on him. You complain about the sudden change of position and he giggles, making his bare chest vibrate beneath you.
"Come on, you said you'd get up"
"I hate you" you murmur making his chest vibrate again.
"You said you'd say that too" then you mumble something incomprehensible by pressing your hand on the mattress and lifting your torso from his body.
"I hate you, I mean it" you narrow your eyes making your best threatening face as he shakes his head getting up, a smile always on his face.
But you're quick to jump on his back and wrap your arms and legs around his chest, "That's not true, I love you" you murmur with your face buried in his shoulder and he takes a few steps towards the mirror before stopping.
"I love you too" he looks at your reflection for a few seconds before you start your day and prepare for the different things you have to do that day.
With his suit he is ready to go to practice, and he approaches you wearing your watch in front of the dresser and smiles at you in the mirror before helping you with the necklace and leaving a kiss on your neck.
You're wearing a blue blouse and fancy pants, an important meeting in a few hours that requires a certain outfit and looking at you you are so different now. But you can't be more alike.
You and John have been married for less than two months, still in the honeymoon phase that you postponed waiting for the end of John's football commitments. And honestly it doesn't weigh on you because you have that ring on your finger now and every day you spend with him at home is a constant holiday.
"I've got to go" he says, holding you close but not letting you go.
"Okay" you sigh as you turn towards him and your heels give you a few more inches so you don't have to get up on your toes to kiss him.
"Remember, I have to do something with Kyle so I'll come back later, okay?"
"Okay, I'll see you when you get back" you smile and he smiles before taking your hand and leaving a kiss on your ring before he leaves for good.
You go to your meeting a few minutes later, as usual they require punctuality they don't have. But it's best not to point it out to them since you'd like to keep your job. This goes between useless speeches and pauses and presentations that seem endless and eventually they free you.
You check your watch and hurry out of that building because you have somewhere else to stop before you go home.
"I know, I know I'm late. Sorry, they held me up" you apologize to the guy who's closing the door of his car while you're holding a box in your arms and your shoulder strap could fall off at any moment.
He comes to help you so you can open the front door and you smile at him, "Thank you Kevin"
"Put it there please" you point to the table in the living room while you take off your shoes and tell him you'll be right back, you really need to take off those work clothes now.
When you come down wearing John's sweatshirt and suit pants, Kevin is already rummaging through the contents of the box and gets a little scared when he hears your voice.
"So you're sure John's not coming home right now?"
"He was busy with Kyle, don't worry. And then you're here, practice is long over so" you shrug while he agrees with you.
"So, how's the situation?"
"Well, it's two weeks away but I've already ordered the cake and I only have a few people to warn and... I think John doesn't suspect anything" you comment unrolling a banner and checking that everything is perfectly written.
"Good. The club confirmed, they said we can bring our stuff in a few days before and tell them how to fix everything"
"Perfect"
"Are you sure you don't want to get into a giant cake with a sexy outfit for your groom?" he mocks you again as you roll your eyes giggling lightly, shifting your attention to the phone that started vibrating.
You answer even though it's not a number you have in your contacts, your job involves receiving calls from strangers even quite frequently.
The carefree expression on your face suddenly disappears however, Kevin literally sees your face lose colour and is immediately close to you wondering who is on the phone. You answer the person on the other side as if you were an automaton, on the outside you may look calm but inside you are completely chaotic and you can't think clearly.
"John" you murmur as soon as you hang up, the look lost somewhere while Kevin looks at you worried and alert in case you faint. But still he makes you sit in the chair next to him, wondering what's going on.
"John" you whisper again, "i-it was the hospital they said he had an accident and he-he" you can only explain while your hands are shaking and you grab your cell phone, but it falls on the table making a deafening noise.
"Kyle! He said he was with Kyle" you murmur frantically as Kevin covers your hands with one of his.
"I'll do it, I'll call him" you see him pick up his phone and take it to his ear but it's like you're experiencing something extra corporeal because you can't hear the guy talking. His lips are moving, but your ears don't get a sound.
He squeezes your hand again and he doesn't have his phone to his ear, "What's wrong?"
"He said he's not with him. He-he didn't see him after practice"
Trying not to show how much the news has upset you, you get up and head for the car keys on the cabinet.
"What do you want to do? No, I'll drive you come on" Kevin is right in front of you, taking your keys away, and you just nod off to the door and wait for him to follow you.
You don't know where to go. You're not a hospital lover and fortunately you've never needed to go in there for yourself or anyone you know, they look like mazes and all that white just adds to the sense of disorientation in those corridors that all look the same.
You ask for information at the front desk and the nurse looks at you sorry when you tell her why you are there, before sending you in the right direction. Reading all the signs on the way, your heart begins to beat faster as a larger sign on a door tells you that you are there. Your legs almost give way, but you have to be strong as you keep repeating yourself.
Kevin keeps watching you, you haven't said a word since you got in the car and he doesn't want to force you. The situation is delicate though, and he doesn't know if it's more appropriate for you to call someone, maybe a member of your family.
The doctor who comes to meet you explains what happened. Apparently there was a head-on collision between two cars and the people involved did not make it. They need to get an ID from the person closest to the victim, it's procedure, and since you're his wife, it's up to you.
He takes you to a room where there is a window hidden by a curtain, the doctor tells you to take as much time as you want and you stare at that grey shutter in terror. Until you nod your head.
The doctor then goes a few steps away, knocks on that glass and the curtain goes up. It only takes you a few seconds to turn around and bury your face in Kevin's chest. The boy holds you in his arms as warm tears finally start streaming down your cheeks.
That's not him. An entire brick house is moving away from your heart and your stomach at the same time, it's not him.
"It's not him" you whisper as the doctor pulls the curtain down and takes you out of that room.
You can't stop crying while the doctor apologizes for the unnecessary scare he caused you and as before, it's Kevin talking to him.
"Why... why did you think he was my husband?" you wonder. You want to know what's going on. Because apparently John lied to you and you really want to try and figure it out and know where he's at this point.
"The police told us the car is registered to his name and his wallet and phone were also found inside it"
You look Kevin disoriented, how did that day when you were supposed to take care of the final details for John's birthday party end up like that?
And you come home, the boy walks you to the door where Kyle's waiting for you. You hold him close to you and some tears slip from your eyes as he takes the keys out of your hands and opens the door for you. All three of you enter the house in silence, interrupted only by you sniffing and trying to get yourself into a clear head.
"Where is he, Kyle?" you ask coldly, but your voice is shaking. You're on the couch, your back slightly forward and your elbows on your knees while your hands are joined together and your thumbs go to massage your temples.
"I don't know" he replies and your head snaps up so you can look him in the eye.
"Please, I don't care where he is. I just want to know if he's okay"
"I don't know, really. All I know is that he had something to do and asked me to cover him up" he admits as he lowers his gaze at the end and a tear falls on your cheek, ending up undisturbed all the way to your neck.
"I have to call the police" you murmur as you reach into your pockets for your phone.
"Maybe we should wait a little longer, normally-"
"He's out there who knows where, alone, with no ID or phone. You're crazy if you think I won't do anything"
"It's not what I'm saying, but they won't do anything until 24 hours after he disappeared"
"Then we'll go out and look for him. Guys, I can't-" but your sentence is interrupted by the door opening.
John walks into the living room and doesn't even have time to see you actually there, that you're on to him. He takes a few steps backwards caught off guard, sticking his hands under your butt so you don't fall over while you're crying on his shoulder.
"Hey what happened?" he murmurs softly caressing your head and leaving a few kisses on your temple. You keep crying without giving him an answer, happy to see him apparently safe and sound.
Then your legs give way and then he gently slides you down, holding you by your hips until he's sure your feet are firmly on the ground.
"Hey" he repeats again, taking your face in his hands, "What happened?" but you shake your head between the sobs, you can't speak, so he asks the question again but to his friends.
The two of them look at each other before nodding and Kyle tells him to sit down first, so he sits on the couch carrying you down with him and holding you.
"Where were you?" your voice comes muffled to his ears before either one of them can say anything and John sighs.
"It doesn't matter now, I want to know what happened here now"
"Yes, it does! I had to go and recognize a dead body because they thought it was you!" you hit him in the chest while he opens his eyes wide, "And for crying out loud I couldn't find you John and you weren't with Kyle! So I need to know where you were and I want to know now"
He holds you in his arms again, an incredulous expression on his face as he glances at the two boys in the room as if looking for confirmation.
"I'm sorry love, I'm so sorry. I just wanted to surprise you so I asked Kyle to cover for me, then a woman was assaulted and I stepped up to defend her and this guy ran off with my car. I was at the police station until now to file a report"
"Oh my god, so he robbed you and then he... died?" you look him in the eye while he puts his thumb on your still wet cheek and then shrugs.
"I guess so"
The boys just stay a few more minutes to make sure you're both okay before they decide to leave you alone. You hug them both thanking them for being near you, the red one in particular, before closing the door and returning into John's arms. His gentle touch and heartbeat calm you instantly, but you can't help but think back to everything that happened in such a short time.
The situation has helped to make you understand even more that it's with him that you want to spend the rest of your life, in his arms, and if something happens to him you are not ready to let him go yet. You haven't experienced anything of your love story yet and it scares you to know that your life could really change on any given day. You don't know how you'd react if he was actually on that table.
"Me and the guys are throwing a surprise party for your birthday" you murmur suddenly and you're not looking at him but you can feel his smile as he leaves a kiss on your head.
"I can't imagine I almost had to cancel it for a..." you can't say it, your eyes get wet again and then he raises your face putting his hands on your cheeks.
"Hey hey look at me, I'm here. I'm here, okay? And I'm not going anywhere"
"Please" you beg with your broken voice.
"I'm here" he repeats before placing his lips on yours and tears mingle with passion, worry, love.
That night passes restlessly, but John is always beside you holding you and reminding you that everything is fine. Your fingers intertwined and your head on his heart.
I would never ever expected this, really. I created this space with no expectation and now I’m completely sure to have find some good people in here and I’m so glad of it. And so I wanna to thank every single one of you for making this day so special to me with your requests and likes and reblogs over the months.
Soo as everyone will know now, some time ago I asked you to send me an idea about who I write for so I could have written something special. And I did, you bet I did.
The original idea was to publish everything today but I thought about it better because it was impossible to do - some stuff is just so long and I wanna you to be able to read everything, to cry with me if you want or even to kill me because my mind went so far away with a couple of them 😅
And now - if you’re reading this thank you again - time for business. I decided to divide all the 22 writings during the weekend. We’ll have five or six each day from now till Sunday, hopefully you’ll like every one of them. It will be a big and long weekend so be ready for it.

Request: One Year Project: spending a quiet night in with Tyrone
"I don't think I'll ever get used to seeing you here every time I come home" Tyrone's voice makes you smile as he holds you from behind.
"Hi babe" you turn your neck slightly to give him a kiss on the lips. "How was your day?"
"Ugh I feel so tired I could wake up in a few years if I fall asleep now" you giggle at his frustrated tone as he raises the various pots and pans in front of him to see what's inside and also steal something in the meantime.
"Bath before eating? I know someone who may have already prepared everything"
Tyrone comes towards you by taking your face in his hands and lifting it slightly so your eyes can lock in. "You. Are. An angel" every word is interrupted by a kiss, a laugh rises up in your throat as he intensifies the kiss towards the end.
As you walk up the stairs to the bathroom to fill the bathtub, he makes sure to take the things he left in front of the door and then take them to their place and come to find you.
"Will you join me?" he asks, leaning against the door frame, crossing his arms, seeing that you're fixing your hair in a messy bun.
"No or we'll never get out of here and I'm hungry" you stand on the tip of your toes brushing your lips with his and he follows your body back to the ground, placing his hands on your hips.
"You can eat something else"
"Uh gross, I'll wait for you downstairs tired man" you wink to him before you come out of the bathroom and come back downstairs to check the last few things.
When almost half an hour later Tyrone comes back wearing his bathrobe, his face looks relaxed. You immediately smile at him by making room on the sofa and allowing him to sit behind you, the soft fabric of the bathrobe in contact with your skin.
"Thank you, that's just what I needed"
"Don't thank me, I really thought you'd fall asleep in there" his chest vibrates beneath you.
The television is on as usual in the background, the looks and smiles and caresses and conversations here and there are enough to keep you busy while you eat what you have prepared.
You enjoy feeding Tyrone and he certainly doesn't complain, not even when you drop a piece of something on him and put on a show to find it. He likes to spend these evenings with you, the ones where nobody expects anything and he can really show what he is, fatigue and sweetness included. The ones where you might as well be silent and they'd still be the best spent together. Because with you he really won the jackpot, since you moved in he feels complete, and he won't let you go anytime soon. He'd just be an idiot.
'Dan would you come cut my arms off please?' he laughs shaking his head when he gets this text from you. It's almost three in the morning and yet both of you are more than awake, for one reason or another.
He presses the button to call you almost immediately and you answer just as quickly, waiting for him to do so.
"Are you drunk?" he doesn't give you time to say anything and immediately asks giggling, imagining your lip coming out slightly in that pout you always do when he makes fun of you.
"No" you complain in fact, "I just can't find a comfortable sleeping position, my arms are always in the way. It would be nice to take them off at night and put them back on in the morning, like a Barbie doll"
"Pleeeeease"
"Shh you'll wake yours"
"Better, maybe they'll be keener to cut my arms off"
"I think if you wake them up now, they might as well bury you alive"
"Thank you" you answer sarcastically right away and he bites his lip to keep that stupid smile from born on his face, even though no one can see it.
"So what makes you so nervous?" he hears you sighing on the other side of the phone, as usual he got it right. But he has years and years of phone calls in the middle of the night because you can't sleep, worried about school or your new job or something you don't even realize at that moment.
"Mom's test results" you admit quietly and the boy sighs, he should have stayed with you and instead like a fool he thought everything was fine.
"Everything will be fine (Y/N), you know there's little chance it's a serious thing"
"What if it is though? I need to be prepared for the worst Dan, so that won't catch me off guard"
"That's not gonna happen. Your mother is the strongest, healthiest woman I know. You'll have her around for a long time to come, I'm sure of it"
"Pinkie promise?"
"Pinkie promise" he states seriously. For a few minutes he couldn't hear anything, just the rustling of your body moving under the covers.
"Hey, how come you were already awake?" a note of curiosity surrounds you suddenly and he plays nervously with the sheet.
"I felt you needed me"
"Be serious" you giggle moving the phone from ear to ear.
"I'm serious"
"Okay, keep your secrets Daniel"
He smiles softly, "Maybe one day I'll tell you"
"Thank you" a slight sigh reached his ear after a while, when he was ready to hang up thinking you had finally fallen asleep.
"No need for that, you know I'm always here for you"
In life the watchword seems to be sacrifice. If you want to do one thing, you inevitably have to abandon another or at least put it aside, compromise.
That's what's happening to Steven now. His girlfriend is six months pregnant when he moves to London, the offer on a silver plate and he couldn't turn it down. The two had discussed it a lot and she had pushed him to sign because she saw the desire in his eyes, how excited he was at the idea of playing in the Premier next to big names and making another one of his dreams come true.
Seeing him happy was the only thing that mattered, even though it would have meant seeing each other not much; even though it would have meant that Steven wouldn't be there with her to enjoy the last months of their pregnancy; even though she couldn't reach him for some time even after the birth of their girl.
Before she found out about the pregnancy he had already told her about the possibility of a move, she was obviously included in the package and therefore hadn't postponed anything. On the contrary, she had pushed for the signing of that contract so that they could start their new life as they had planned.
Her sister had moved in permanently with her, he was calmer knowing she had someone on her side and the girl didn't mind being with her. They had shared a room for most of their lives, what would be another three months or so.
Everything was going well, getting used to the rhythms of the Premier was exhausting but Steven was fighting with all of himself because he felt that place could give him so many emotions and good memories. The boys had immediately shown themselves to be very friendly and kind and he had made friends with the newcomers because they were new to the place just like him.
The video calls started as soon as he came home and ended when one of them went to bed, usually she was the one to hang out because he didn't want to miss a moment of his girlfriend and the little girl inside her who kept growing up. He would tell her about the atmosphere, the neighborhood and how he was settling in, and she would show him all the little clothes her mother bought every time she went out shopping - it was always about her first granddaughter rather than her now.
Steven had a strange feeling in his chest every time he saw those things, seeing her face so relaxed in appearance but actually showing how strong she was. Another one in her place wouldn't have accepted so easily, she wouldn't have been so supportive in sending him miles away and making her continue the first pregnancy practically alone despite the love of their families.
On one thing, however, she was categorical, and he wanted with all his heart not to disappoint her on that at least. She had asked him to be there at the birth, she would go to the visits and constantly monitor the situation so that he would know the exact moment when to leave.
But life is known to be unpredictable and not everything goes according to plan, she hasn't even entered the ninth month when Steven gets the call.
"The baby's coming" isn't her voice he hears on the other end of the phone, it's her sister's.
"What? Is this a joke?" he asks, worried and surprised and shocked, still trying to store those words.
"I wish"
"Put her on" is a desperate prayer and in a moment his girlfriend's tired voice reaches his ear.
"Steve, Steve please be as quick as you can"
"Coming love, I'm coming. Breathe, I'll be there soon"
His brain was leaving him because of too many thoughts going through him at that moment. He had to warn someone he wasn't going to train, book the first available flight - hoping he wouldn't have to wait too long -, get to the airport, face the journey and try to get to the hospital as soon as possible after landing. He didn't think he could make it, but he had to. He owed it to his girlfriend and his little girl, he wouldn't have missed it for the world.
The flight is the longest thing ever. Sitting still was so difficult for him, he had to turn his phone off after letting them know he was about to take off and so he had no news. He was anxious, not knowing what was going on, if she was already born and if he missed it, it was killing him. At that moment it could have been a ten minute trip, for him it would have always been the longest ten minutes of his life.
The first thing he does as soon as he gets off the plane is to take possession of his phone, many are the messages from his new teammates who wish him good luck but he ignores them to look for the most important one.
It's about an hour earlier, but nothing that tells him that his baby has already born so he runs to find a taxi to take him to the hospital as soon as possible.
His heart is pounding as he waits for the elevator to get to the right floor, he thought about taking the stairs but then thought better of it and locked himself in that box.
Just like in the movies, his hand is tied to his girlfriend's one just when the doctor tells her that with one last push she can have her baby in the arms.
"I'm here baby, I'm here. You can do it, I'm with you" he manages to say, trying to catch his breath, letting the girl squeeze his hand as hard as she wants.
And then he hears it, the cry of his little girl filling his heart. Suddenly there is no phone call, journey, the anxiety, the worry. All this is replaced by the joy of finally having his little girl with him, he kisses his girlfriend's head repeatedly letting some tears wet his face. Now another life begins.
Request: For the one year progect - Gio making your one year anniversary special (one year anniversary because it’s your blogs one year anniversary) thank you so much for the effort you put into your writings they are honestly amazing and i love reading them
Thank you anon, for choosing me and believing in me every day. Hope you like this one too 💙
It hadn't been love at first sight, neither of us had lingered long enough to look at the other. He was with his friends, you with yours, and although you went out together several times because you belonged to the same group of people, you had never exchanged more than a hello.
And then the situation suddenly turned upside down, all it took was a party at someone's house and a drink spilled on your dress and suddenly that invisible line that kept you apart was broken. You'd been sitting on the sidelines all night, talking and laughing as if you'd just met - and you had kind of.
You enjoyed being in his company, Gio is a good person before being a good listener. He's a bit like you, shy and a bit on his own to seem at times annoying, but together you were pure explosion. There were times when you just shyly smiled at each other from two different corners of the room, but when you were together your friends almost didn't recognize you. More relaxed, more open, less silent and more words.
It was inevitable from that moment on, the more you got to know each other, the more you wanted more. You were fine silent, you were fine laughing, you were fine alone and in company. One drink had made you loosen up, and you hadn't even drunk it.
The first time you held hands, you both blushed. Gio's life is so hectic that sometimes you forget that you're still talking about a 24-year-old boy - even younger at the time. Two young boys who, despite apparently getting the success they deserve in the workplace by pursuing their dreams, still have a lot to experience in the personal life.
The first kiss is special. You are at Gio's house to spend a quiet evening together, something to eat and a movie in the background to which neither of you is giving much importance because you ended up talking about something else. You can't help but wonder why you haven't done it before, when he breaks away from you still smiling and then approaches you immediately afterwards and leaves you another little kiss on those lips stretched out in a tender smile.
And it is that date - the day of your first kiss - that you take as a reference to celebrate every milestone in your relationship. Video calls when it was far away, sleepless nights because you can't sleep, walks or just being together in the house lead you to get to know each other more and more. To make that feeling grow day after day, to desire physical contact with each other, a smile, anything as long as it includes you two.
You're in London now in the house where Gio has lived since he went to Tottenham. Your first anniversary together is just around the corner and there's no way in the world you'd spend it apart. Twelve months could be considered a short period of time if you think about the average life of a person nowadays, it had gone by so fast that if you look back you are sure you can still smell the perfume Gio was wearing that day or the slight caress on your cheek just before kissing you.
It's crazy, and yet your life has undergone some changes since then. Again, a year seems like a short time but so many things have changed. Gio plays on a different team than just months before, everything is still uncertain and for the moment no one wants to talk about more serious things even though you are currently living in two different countries.
"Buenos días, mi querida" Gio leaves a kiss almost under your ear, holding you from behind, and you sigh enjoying the warmth of his body against yours a little more. Before he starts to rub something soft on your arm and on your cheek and under your nose, forcing you to open your eyes and come face to face with a red rose. Good morning, my love.
"Feliz aniversary" Happy anniversary.
"Gio" you whisper softly turning in his arms to give him a kiss, "Feliz aniversario"
"¿Quieres mi regalo ahora o después ?" he asks with a note of fun in his voice, he knows you too well in fact he's already stretching his arm to get the package hidden in the drawer while you answer. Do you want my gift now or later?
"¡¿Tienes que preguntar?!" making him laugh. Do you even have to ask?!
"Para ti" a small square package is in your hands and you remove the bow immediately, placing it carefully by your side before you see how to open that little box. For you.
You look at the contents of the box and your gaze moves shocked on Gio's face, who smiles immediately.
"Sé que no llevamos mucho tiempo juntos, pero no importado cuando se que te quiero. Me ofrecido un contrato permanente, y no voy a sign si no estás de acuerdo en mudarte conmigo" I know we haven't been together long, but it doesn't matter when I know I love you. They offered me a solid contract, and I'm not going to sign if you don't agree to move in with me.
"Te ofrecieron... ¿qué ?" surprise is evident in your voice which makes him laugh. You take that key and you turn it around, it seems to weigh a ton but the decision is so easy to make. They offered you what??
"Sí, sí, claro que acepto Gio. Oh, Dios mío" you murmur as he leans over and kisses you. Yes, yes, of course I accept Gio. Oh, my god.
You stay in bed a little longer that morning, you get him to explain in detail what the new contract is, pretending to be offended that he didn't tell you the exact moment he knew, waiting for him to kiss and cuddle you back.
Then after a shower together, Gio takes you on a tour of the city. He's also just arrived there, but you have fun wandering around the streets of that city like two tourists, him pointing out every place he finds classifying it as yours. Your bench where you can make out, your new favourite coffee shop, the way back to your home...
And when you get to the front door, he looks at you waiting.
"¿Qué pasa ?" you ask with one eyebrow raised and he still smiles at you. What?
"Tu nueva llave está esperando a ser usada. Sé que lo tienes en tu bolsillo" you lure him to you leaving a kiss on his lips before you open. Your new key is just waiting to be used. I know it's in your pocket.
