My step mom has this little quaker and if I start banging my hand on the couch she'll repeat, as long as I banged she banged on whatever she was on. Was this an act of being silly or something else? She is an aggressive little thing, flew after people in the house, landing on them and biting when they take her to her cage. A one person bird if you will. I've never had another bird to bang their cage back in response to me.
depends on the rest of their body language, if she’s presenting other aggressive signals while doing it then she’s likely aggravated at what you’re doing, if not then she’s just being a quirky Quaker, many birds will hit their beaks on things in accordance to their owner’s movements.
