A Very Important Person- Jotaro Kujo x Reader
[Disclaimer, I don’t own any of the JJBA characters, they all belong to Hirohiko Araki] Her eyes always seemed to be drawn to him. Perhaps it was his dark eyes or his foreboding presence that magnetically attracted her gaze, but no matter what it was, it was getting stronger every passing day. She'd sit in class, nervously kicking her legs as she gazed at him, a mixture of awe and confusion laced in her expression as she watched him. Why was she so interested in this boy? Then, one day, he was gone. Rumours went around that he’d killed the school nurse and the new student, Noriaki Kakyoin. She couldn’t believe them, but something in her gut told her that that was the reason she couldn’t stop watching him. It was instinct. She thought, pondering. Her body must have known to keep an eye on him, to defend herself. After all, she was not particularly tall, and not that intimidating. If he was a fox, she was a rabbit, tied up and already covered in seasoning. But every day that he was gone, her stomach turned, churning and twisting in on itself. Something was horribly wrong, and she had no idea what. Everywhere she walked, she looked back, over her shoulders, even in broad daylight. Something was watching her. It had to be. After a month of paranoia, she couldn’t take it anymore, and stopped checking herself, just walking as though everything was fine. Despite her fear, she couldn’t let the terror rule her life. she couldn’t let the panic stop her living. But it did. She'd only stayed late by an hour. She'd asked her teacher many questions, hoping to do well in the exam and after an hour, she had no more questions. Satisfied, she walked out of school, noting the early sunset painting the sky a beautiful red. In her distracted state, She'd bumped into a man. Swiftly, she stepped back, bowing in apology to him, before peering to look at him. He had fairly dark skin, with a tall hat, and at his side was a young boy, of the same skin-tone and large dark hair. “Is this the one, Mondatta?” The tall one asked, eyes narrowing down at her. “That’s what Thoth says, yes. Look, right here.” the young boy held a manga book in his hands, holding it open and pointing to a page. “After Master Dio was defeated, Jotaro and Joseph both made their way back to Japan, but Oingo and his little brother were already there, ready to get revenge, by taking someone every important!” The boy read out, before pointing to a full-page picture. As she stood up, confused, she realised the image was meant to be her. Her soft hair, her delicate skin, her unmistakable eyes. It was in an odd, childish style, but it was her, with the same shocked expression she was wearing. she turned on her heels, about to cut and run, to scream for help, but it was already too late, as she taller one had wrapped an arm around her waist and covered her mouth with his hand. “We need to have her for a few days for this to work, but we can do that! Yes! Look, Thoth is showing us where we can hide!” They’d had her for a day by the time anyone realised. They got her a change of clothes for her to wear, so she wasn’t stuck in her uniform, and some food. They followed the book to the letter, which was lucky for her. It got them to pick out the clothes, the food, and to decide not to tie her up. They’d kept her in some kind of abandoned warehouse, likely for a housewares store, so there was a bed for each of us to sleep on, and chairs so they could keep their eye on her. Zenyatta, the older of the two, was the more outgoing of the two, and maintained a conversation with her, keeping her from going totally crazy, and Mondatta kept to himself, only piping up to speak to his brother. “There’s a new page, brother!” he called out, hurrying over, to show his brother the book. she craned her neck and peered over. “After holding the important person for two days, Jotaro began searching for her. After walking in, he fell for the clever brothers’ bait and ended up trapped! Clever trap, Oingo! And so, with Jotaro trapped, the two brothers dropped him to the floor, and he died!” The images were disturbing. They had the style of a child’s manga, but it showed Jotaro like a monster, ending up trapped by a leg snare, dangling from the roof, before being dropped to the floor, surrounded by his own blood. she didn’t have the time to question it before Zenyatta used the manga to tie her to the chair, her arms behind her back, her legs fastened to one of the chair legs, and her body attached to the back of the chair. “Please, don’t do this, Zenyatta! Please!” she begged, but despite his reluctance, he shoved the gag in her mouth and stopped her from talking, before tying a blindfold tightly around her eyes. Afterwards, she heard him begin to work on the snare, readying it for Jotaro. “This says he’ll be here tomorrow when that clock strikes 12! We’ll have him, yes!” Mondatta cheered, and there she was left, forced to gaze idly at the darkness, waiting for the clock to reach its mark. Hours passed like minutes, with her eyes lost in darkness. Soon the time would come, and soon, Jotaro would be nothing but a puddle of crimson. He wasn’t as bad as she'd thought. With the time given to her, silent and only able to think, she found herself thinking about her few interactions with him. He’d picked her book up for her once, only to then scold her for being so stupid as to drop it. He’d even caught her watching him a few times, but he never said a word, only holding her gaze for a while before turning back to his work. How could she ever think he’d do something so cruel as to kill someone? Beyond that, why did she even think he would be watching her? There was silence. The two brothers seemed to have hidden away and had stopped talking. The time was close. She felt the sunlight on her skin. The sun was high in the sky, shining through the window on her, clearly showing her in the relative darkness of the warehouse. The seconds seemed to drag now until there was a sudden creaking sound. Jotaro! She wriggled slightly in the chair, shaking her head and screaming for him to leave, begging him not to come any closer. “What the hell?” Came the low, gruff voice of her classmate, as steps slowly edged closer. “Hey! Hey, what’s going on?” he asked. “Don’t! Don’t come any closer! They’re going to kill you!” She cried, but it was too muffled to be understandable. “Shut up! Stop yelling!” Zenyatta yelled before he sucked in a sharp breath. The footsteps stopped. Her heart was beating in her ears, and she was shaking, writhing on the chair, the ropes digging into her skin, harshly. “Oh. It’s you two... didn’t you hear? I beat the shit out of your boss... what do you think this gets you?” There was the sound of a wince, and some murmuring between the brothers, before a sigh came from Jotaro. “Good grief...” he murmured before the steps got closer and closer. The light was blinding as it hit her eyes, and after a moment of blinking, she looked up at Jotaro, who was holding the blindfold. The tears that brimmed in her eyes soon fell and struck down her cheeks. “I’m going to put this back on you, alright? Once I’m done, I’ll let you go.” His dark eyes narrowed down at her before he put the blindfold back on her. After a few minutes of yelling and screaming, Jotaro returned, releasing her legs and arms, as well as taking off the gag and the blindfold. There were Zenyatta and Mondatta, hanging from the same snare they'd set up for Jotaro. "Are you alright?" She turned to Jotaro. His eyes were focused on her, so sharp and so dark she thought she'd get lost in them. "I... I'm okay," she whispered, as he took her hand, gently pulling her up to stand, only to have her fall against him, too weak on her unused legs. "I'm sorry-!" "Shut up." He grunted, before adjusting and sweeping her off of her feet, cradling her in his arms, keeping his eyes on hers. "You have nothing to be sorry for. Those weirdos grabbed you, what about that makes you sorry?" She didn't answer, just looking into his eyes. "They said I'm an important person... what does that mean?" "They wanted to hurt me. So they took you." He sighed. "Dammit... I'd wanted to tell you... once I got home." His brow was furrowed She parted her lips, to ask a question, only to have them stolen by her classmate. She melted against him, one hand cupping his cheek as he held her, tightly. Jotaro pulled back, about to speak, before she smirked. "Shut up. I already know." she whispered, softly. Jotaro's eyebrows lifted, then settled again, before he kissed her again, carrying her from the warehouse, leaving the two brothers dangling from the ceiling, screaming for help.
