Been trying to experiment with hats a tad more 🐝// I feel like drawing the same style of hat over and over again can get a bit repetitive. Don’t get me wrong, I love doing those, I just don’t want y’all to get bored of it to soon 😂 - That’s why I think I’m going I start tinkering more with the design of the hat. I might keep the base pretty much the same, but I’ll try to include some more elements to spice it up a bit! I was debating whether to upload this sketch or not just because I didn’t really like how the face came out 😂// I don’t totally hate it, but I think it could’ve came out better, also I’ve been thinking a lot about doing some digital art and maybe I’ll try doing a quick sketch or something today to see if I still like it 😂 - What I love about digital is how inexpensive it is compared to constantly having to te new art supplies and such, which don’t get me wrong can be so fun! But the costs quickly add up as well 😂 which is never nice for a broke artist. Okay so I’m focusing on rendering the skin so far and it’s been quite fun! 🤭// One of the things that I used to enjoy the most about drawing an illustration was the whole face, especially the cheekbone area 😂 I’ve always imagined if that’s what doing make up feels like! - But lately I’ve been really into rendering skin in general! I don’t know just like trying to find the places in which the skin creases makes me feel satisfied 😂😂 it’s kinda weird I guess but I really like it! Quick video of me adding the final golden details to this piece 🙊// This is the most fun part in my opinion because you don’t really have to concern yourself with things such as anatomy or shading it perfectly! Just doing a quick sketch on the new paper to test out blendability and all of that good stuff 🙊// I will probably stop the sketch right here and just move onto another drawing, just because I wanted to test out how the paper would behave 🤔 I have to say Bristol board is kinda delicate and you have to make sure you don’t press to hard if you want to erase. It’s similar to drawing on the white part of a cardboard thingy only difference being this paper takes more pigment or graphite in 😱 - As far as texture wise there aren’t any noticeable marks, the editing makes it look so but in real life it all looks super smooth, maybe if I were to scan it you would get that feeling as well haha 🙊 - #pencildrawn #pencildrawings7 #graphitedraw #maleportraiture #onebrightsheep #illustrationsdaily #bristolboard #graphitepencilsketch (at Morelia, Mexico)
