Communities of Color Continue to Struggle in Illinois
This week’s post is a re-blog from the Fiscal Policy Center at Voices for Illinois Children written by Leslie Helmcamp highlighting some of the key income and poverty indicators from the recently released Census data. These data show slight improvements overall, but, when looked at closely, highlight the disproportionate impact on people of color and the most vulnerable of populations--children living in poverty.
