I'm sorry, you're right that was rude, but you must understand we've been dealing with this kind of thing since the show was announced and it get's old. 

For your concern about a Holmes Watson romance I have 2 separate interviews with the showrunner in which he says explicitly that they are never going to get together (X X) and that was literally the 3rd and 4th result when I google searched "elementary romance".

Only a little over half of the original canon takes place in london anyway. And Sherlock was initially from london and will be returning in s2.
