A prayer for Apollo
I ask for the aid of the radiant Apollo,
protector of children,
bringer of justice,
kin to the unshaken Ares; harnessed in bronze.
I, like many times before, urge for your attention,
hoping for your support in my attempt to reach your half-brother, courageous Ares,
hoping for easy communication, hoping that growing a bond with the god will allow me to thrive.
So, please, ever-young Apollo,
accept my offerings,
know of my admiration,
know of my plea,
and aid me as I strive to know Ares like I do you.
Your faithful idolater thanks you, deathless god,
for I could not live without the light you provide
and without the music that soothes me so.
