I love being angry, I love being strong, I love being fierce, I love being a devotee of Lord Ares.
I'm not weak anymore.
Ares taught me that anger is sacred.
Anger is the power that is awakened when you have nothing else.
Anger is your protection.
Anger can fight the biggest fear.
Anger can get you back on your feet.
I grew up severely anxious. When I first started worshipping Lord Ares, I suddenly began feeling an overwhelming sense of wrath almost all the time during the first few weeks. At first, it was exhausting.
But then I realized something: I was doing things I had been so fucking scared of before simply because I was angry. I started setting boundaries because whenever someone disrespected me, that anger pushed me to react.
I used to be terrified of setting boundaries, especially with men (what if they hurt me if i do it?). But now I don't fucking care. I think quickly. Someone disrespects me—I react fiercely, and they immediately change their approach.
Simple as that.
Fear no longer controls me.
It's not about starting unnecessary drama. It's about reclaiming your power and control.
Hail Lord Ares and Divine Anger
Where are my Aphrodite devotees at??
Hello, I'm new in helpol but not in witchcraft. I started as a demonolatrist, I met wise, powerful demons who changed my life for the better but I just felt like it wasn't my path for a long while. I started worshipping Ares in June 2026 and I just feel like He's the God that i really needed in my life so I want to make a devotional blog for Him. I also worship Lady Aphrodite.
I'm 20 and I'm a woman. I study law btw, not to brag:D
I love marsian spirits, the demons i worshipped were also marsian.
Ares - the Greek god of war. Woodcut engraving from the the book "Der Olymp oder die Mythologie der Griechen und Römer (The Olympus or the Mythology of the Greeks and Romans)", published by A.H. Petiscus in C.F. Amelang's Verlag, Leipzig (1878, 18th edition)
This is Mars. I'm so inspired by him, and not just because of the whole "oh, the god of war" trope.
What strikes me is how this god maintains an inner balance and composure even amidst the chaos of war around him. How he manages to stay true to himself, remember his core, and walk his own path when everything surrounding him is a fog of fleeting emotions, each begging for attention.
It isn’t just about a short temper or brute force. To me, Mars primarily represents an immense inner strength. It’s about knowing when to act ruthlessly so as not to lose yourself, and when to say goodbye to something, because otherwise, you’ll never reach your true destination.
If I recall correctly, the archetype of Mars—and his Greek counterpart, Ares—represented not merely war itself, but the essence of the warrior. Warriors turned to him seeking fortitude in battle and unwavering courage.
Nothing feels as good as being strong and happy.
