Out of everyone in the party, Vivi is the most worrisome at times for Amarant. The kid's not particularly strong (not counting his magic, which was of course impressive even to him) and really clumsy. And to top it all off, the boy is sensitive to a fault. He's a kid, and Amarant tends to worry that their journey might be a bit much for Vivi a times.

Vivi finds the zombie creatures of Gaia particularly terrifying. The way they’re living while slowly rotting away, their unstable movements, everything about them unnerves him. The worst part, however, is the zombie status they can inflict. He’s had it happen to him before, and it isn’t pleasant. The body weakens considerably, is in a constant state of pain, the inflicted becomes very ill, and a very disgusting odor begins to emanate from them. He’s heard tales that if it isn’t cured in time, there’s no going back. So he /always/ makes sure he has some Magic Tags for anywhere he goes.

A Hard Day

Normally at this time, the Tribal house is filled with the very alluring scents of breakfast. The kitchen is warm from the use of the stove and the whole house seems cheery. And this would usually be enough to rouse Vivian if he wasn't up before. It was just the normal routine for them as Vivi exercised the idea of allowing the boy to stay in his home. It was much easier than he first expected.

This morning, however, did not have the same jovial scene. The kitchen was cold, unused since the night previous. There wasn't even a hint that it was getting ready to be used. In fact...Vivi didn't seem to have gotten up this morning.

Except he was, he just hadn't left his bed. He never wanted to admit to Vivian how hard the days were for him, he usually could manage well enough to at least seem normal. But last night's dreams hadn't been too friendly with him, and he'd been unable to muster much courage to get out of bed save for fetching Zidane's Marcus hood and wrapping it around him tight and just...going back to laying there in bed.

He tried to stay quiet as he wept softly,, though. He really didn't want to alert Vivian to his struggle. In the end, though, he knew this would be a useless effort. Vivian was bound to look for him, the two had become rather close.

♟ Jealous

The only way Vivi really would get jealous was if you sat Zidane in a room with a pretty woman. He isn’t self conscious about his appearance anymore, thanks to the thief, but Zidane is still quite the womanizer, and he won’t hesitate to ogle a beautiful woman. Vivi doesn’t like to admit it and gets flustered when Zidane teases him over it, then pouts into oblivion until Zidane finally gets the hint and stops.
