Still patiently waiting to see what #Tumblr does with #activitypub before I go crazy posting new #art #onhere
I’m very curious to see how #ifttt ends up dealing with it too!

I forgot who but someone #onhere said it'll be about a week before we see Jacob Blake's family dancing in the streets. Well, here we are. 🤨 https://www.instagram.com/p/CEobwoXhszprMAv7UxW2FOQl5MIAMgFJA-WURo0/?igshid=1end754je0q4c

Born this day in 1925...Malcolm X. Our beloved, el-Hajj Malik el-Shabazz... Whose life and legacy reminds me to be open to the divine hand of God which allows me and my way of thinking to constantly grow and evolve.🖤 My fave quote (on yearly repeat #onhere and daily in my mind): “Don't be in a hurry to condemn because he doesn't do what you do or think as you think or as fast. There was a time when you didn't know what you know today.” Art by: @justkeebs (prints for sale on their Etsy!) #WeSpeakYourName (at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) https://www.instagram.com/p/BxqDxBFFVGv/?igshid=12wcan8f5b16q

And the problem is worse for girls of color.
I post on here a lot about disparities in discipline in youth-serving institutions. Since I mostly repost/curate content, I haven’t done a good job correcting the bias in coverage of discipline disparities: more research and journalism, even (especially?) from more critical perspectives, looks at discipline as it affects Black boys. Here’s a nice piece touching on research about LGBTQ+ girls, especially girls of color, and their experiences with disproportionate discipline.
