These Fajita Turkey Burgers are a delicious twist on traditional burgers, combining the flavors of fajitas with lean ground turkey. They are packed with colorful bell peppers, onions, and spices, making them a healthy and flavorful choice for a burger night.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground turkey. 1/2 cup diced bell peppers red, green, and yellow. 1/2 cup diced onions. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro. 1 tsp chili powder. 1 tsp cumin. 1/2 tsp paprika. 1/2 tsp salt. 1/4 tsp black pepper. 4 whole wheat burger buns. 1 cup shredded lettuce. 1 cup diced tomatoes. 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese. 1/4 cup sour cream optional. Salsa for topping optional.
Instructions: In a large mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, diced bell peppers, diced onions, minced garlic, chopped cilantro, chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to evenly distribute the ingredients. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the turkey burger patties for about 5-6 minutes per side or until they are cooked through and have grill marks. Toast the whole wheat burger buns on the grill for a minute or until they are lightly browned. To assemble the burgers, place a turkey patty on the bottom half of each bun. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and shredded cheddar cheese. If desired, add a dollop of sour cream and salsa on top of the cheese. Finally, place the top half of the bun on the assembled ingredients to complete the burgers. Serve the Fajita Turkey Burgers hot and enjoy!
