March 21 - Some Fun on YouTube
So, I just watch this video and saw a flurry of comments below and decided to express my thoughts. It didn't start well, but in the end...
What you're about to read isn't my firm belief, but just something I've been debating with myself. I'd like to see another's opinion.
The only "mistake" this girl made was incorrectly assessing the strength of her friendship with her "friends". None of what was done to her was her fault. But, the safety she thought her "friends" would provide was unwarranted. She didn't deserve this, but, she did choose / have terrible friends.
Just to be clear, I completely agree what Laci said in her video.
I guess I just said something that was obvious?
Maybe not obvious, but I guess not a controversial idea either. I agree though, her friends aren't really friends and if they had been, this video would probably not exist
I agree. Anyone who would consider themselves her friend that was with her that night don't understand what the word means.
I did hope that what I said was a pretty non-controversial statement that people could agree with, but I guess it just turned out to be boring.
Or ill-timed hahaha I didn't even see your original post, just your reply to yourself. Barrage of ignorance to comment on surrounding your comment lol
lol It is hard to fight the urge to beat down some of the ignorance flying around here.
You're right, she put her trust in the wrong people. But there's no real way to know that until they break it, so even that can't really be blamed on her.
Personally, I don't consider someone to be a friend (or ask them for anything) unless I've known them for about two years. I might just be weird though...
It might be "weird' but I'd say you're being smart. People don't tend to stab you in the back right off the bat, so it's wise to hold off on giving too much trust until you're sure they've earned it.
Feel free to join the fray, my friend. "For evil to prosper, all it takes is a good man to do nothing" is my motto for life. <3
lol Instead of reading all of the ignorance in comments and eventually having to buy a new computer, I'll save my patience for small, manageable doses of ignorance I see in real life. But, I have enjoyed your moxie in trying to talk some sense into people! ^_^
No sweat, I think my poor computer's built up quite a tolerance for BS over the years of troll-bashing I've been doing. ;-) Have a good one!
