I, like most people, crave the Beau lore, but I have a slight counterargument to the “no one asks Beau follow-up questions” thing being solely read as the other characters not showing any interest in or care for her.

Beau has been very reluctant to give up personal information. Marisha has even said that she much prefers knowing other people’s secrets to having them know hers, and therefore rarely likes to offer up information. Most of the Mighty Nein are like this, tbh. Quite a few of them come from a place where they’d prefer not to be asked about their backgrounds, and are reluctant to give up information even when asked (exceptions here for Jester and Caduceus, although Caduceus is more of a closed book about some things (like his emotions around interpersonal relationships) than others).

For people who’d rather not be asked a lot of questions themselves, not asking about someone else is not only a defense mechanism, but in many ways a sign of respect. It’s “do unto others” taken purely from personal experiences. Leaving things alone and not prying is probably what Fjord and Nott and Caleb and Yasha would prefer other people do for them, and so not prying with Beau is just paying forward something they’d be appreciative of, if they were on the other end of it.

Now, whether or not Beau actually doesn’t want other people to pry, whether or not she deep down would rather not have even her friends know anything about her, is another question. She might not even be sure herself at this point. I don’t think Beau’s had close friends before. She’s started offering up little tidbits, slowly, but increasingly, since the group’s gotten closer. They now know her last name and her childhood pet wishes and certain individuals even know about her estranged brother and her past love life. But I actually kind of like that this is something Beau is figuring out for herself that she wants to share with other people. I don’t know if it would feel as meaningful, as personal development for her, if other characters, particularly other secretive characters, had been constantly testing her boundaries and demanding answers. And I’m also not sure that would even have worked.

Honestly looking at Ras is like… he’s strong he’s tough he wins a lot he’s CAPABLE but he’s also truly overconfident and so full of himself no matter what he says… he constantly just makes shit up as he goes along but also he knows what he’s doing??? Idk he’s a FRAUD but he’s also still able to do like a lot of shit… which is why he’s one of the best Ninjago villains to me tbh
