Undercover In A Gay Bar? (Alternately, Didn't Know They Were Dating or Hookerfic, whatever you most feel like answering!)
Question: What does a gay bar even mean in an intergalactic society where you have access to dozens of species? I guess this would have to be a pretty isolationist people.
Likely to write: Well, undercover at the club at all and fake dating are my jams. I do have a couple fics of that stored away somewhere. But for the most part I take it as as given that gender is fucky in space because, like, there’s no reason for it to be the same between species.
Pairing: Probably Shance? I feel like they’d be the most comfortable with it.
(Send me a trope and I’ll tell you how likely I am to write it and what pairing it would be)
Wait, are we being encouraged to talk about our favorite examples of your fic? Because if so, oh my god, I keep rereading Cycle of the Five Lions, it's so goddamn good and I love everyone so much and what the hell is Shiro's class is he a multiclassed monk/???. Um. Yeah. <3
Aw, thank you! Yeah, I was feeling discouraged last week so I reblogged a post asking for people to name their favorite fic of mine. I got lots of lovely responses and I feel thoroughly encouraged now, thank you. <3
I’m glad you like The Cycle of the Five Lions! I’m definitely looking forward to writing that again once I finish my current projects. And yeah, Shiro is a mystery, isn’t he? He started out as a basic protection-style fighter when he set out as a guard on the Wolfhound Expedition, but after more than a year he can’t remember, even he isn’t sure what class he is anymore. That will be the main quest of the next volume, The Broken Soldier, figuring out what happened to Shiro and how to fix it, at least a little bit.
11, 16, and 17? Thank you for doing this!
11) what aspect of your writing do you think has most improved since you started writing? My writing is very different than it was 10 years ago for a lot of reasons, but I think overall it’s gotten a lot cleaner. I’ve been working on cutting out extraneous words and scenes that I’d liked the concept of but weren’t really needed. I’ve also been working on cutting out ‘filler’ words and other fluff fillers that don’t really help, although that’s still something I struggle with to this day. It’s a work in progress.16) are there any characters who haunt you?Not actual canon characters, at least not in Voltron. Fanon versions of characters haunt me daily though. There are so many fanon interpretations of characters that have gotten so blown out of proportion, or are built entirely around out-of-context interpretations of screenshots or a single line of dialogue, that it makes me cringe. I avoid those like the plague.17) if you could give your fledgling author self any advice, what would it be?It’s not about the reader response, it’s about what you enjoyed writing it. There’s always going to be that one hater, for everything. Try not to take it personally. If people recommend your platonic fics as ship fics, this doesn’t mean you’re accidentally writing shippy stuff! Take a deep breath, calm the hell down, and don’t panic. All it means is they really like the way those characters interact. You cannot control how people choose to interpret your work once you write it. Ask me fanfic questions!
Hi, there's no need to respond to this, I just wanted to yell about how awesome Project Zero is again. Thank you so much for sharing it, I'm really looking forward to seeing who the Paladin is (is it Allura? since she hasn't shown up yet? don't tell me I want it to be a surprise although whatever it is will probably break my heart *somehow*). I love the whole mood you've developed for the fic, and how it shifts with the plot. Hold on, this is getting too long, this'll be part 1...
Like, the first part was this whole beautiful, gritty "rage against the dying of the light" thing, and now it almost feels like one of those postapocalyptic stories where civilization has already been rebuilt on the bones of the old one, so it's all new and hopeful-feeling, but you're still all too aware that everything died last time (kind of like on Koryu). Except that "last time" hasn't happened yet here, so. Anyway, thank you so much for writing this, again!
Ahhhhhhhhh!!! No spoilers, but we will meet the Paladin someday. We definitely wanted a different atmosphere for part 2, the story is the same but it’s all through a distorted mirror. Things have almost been reversed and twisted. We didn’t want to just repeat part 1 over again, but there’s definitely callbacks and the ghosts of what happened never really leave, even though Keith is the only one who remembers them. That universe is a warning and if he fails, it’ll all happen again.
Thank you so much for reading!

Whatever you do don’t counter it with something soporific. That way lies madness. Well, worse madness.
I’m old enough not to mix my uppers with my downers. At least, I hope I am, ahaha.
Remember kids, don’t do the thing
Hi! I love your fic in general; Project Zero is currently the cause of my laptop getting soaked in tears. That said, I have a weird question - were the two of you ever in the Glee fandom?
Thank you so much! -passes tissues- We’ve been waiting for these last few chapters for a long time. We weren’t in the Glee fandom! I’m not sure if @itdans ever saw the show, but I watched the first season of Glee and never followed up on it. I don’t really know anything about the fandom though, sorry. (I AM a huge Broadway musical fan if that counts for anything?)

You can tell because someone makes muffins?
Those are actually meatballs, which is also a way to tell if I’m at your place.
