[ even with renewing it online, the issue is chances are you'll be rejected more because of the photo used is (from what i heard) ten years old! you'll lower your chances of rejection while purchasing things if you get a new photo. it might be less than photogenic, but that's worth more than the hassle of wrestling with purchases due to your old id's photo 8lc ]

Usually I just have to tell the cashier to check the birthdate; only once was I told I had to provide some proof I really lived at that address and that was my name; and that time, lucky for me, the manager was nearby and told the cashier to shut up and run my birth date. Really this is way more about me hating the picture than it is causing problems for me making purchases]]
