🧀Arie van Roozendaal (Schijndel, 1929) was postambtenaar in Eindhoven en streektaal-troubadour. In 1944 startte hij met het schrijven van teksten ten behoeve van zijn eigen familie- en kennissenkring. Vanaf 1960 voegde hij daar ook zijn eigen melodieën aan toe. Sinds die tijd maakte Van Roozendaal liedjes over allerlei onderwerpen, voor een deel in Brabants dialect.

🍁Arie van Roozendaal (Schijndel, 1929) was a postal clerk in Eindhoven and a regional dialect troubadour. In 1944 he started writing texts for his own family and acquaintances. From 1960 he also added his own melodies. Since then Van Roozendaal has written songs about all kinds of subjects, partly in Brabant dialect.

Kai leuk! #Repost @omroepbrabant ・・・ Huh?! Dit houdoe-kenteken is in het Australische Melbourne gespot. De eigenaar van het kenteken is de 80-jarige Michael Gijsberts: geboren en getogen in Geldrop en sinds 1957 woonachtig in Australië. De kentekenplaat heeft hij van z’n vrouw en kinderen gekregen, tientallen jaren geleden. Het is niet vreemd dat zijn naasten hiermee aankwamen, want Gijsberts blijkt een ware ambassadeur van het woord ‘houdoe’ te zijn.
