This game has quite a reputation as a kusoge, but I don't necessarily know if it's that bad. It's not good, either, but I've already played plenty of mediocre maze chase games and it's still 1985... In Onyanko Town you play as a mama cat whose child has run away from home, with your goal to retrieve them and bring them back to your home. The town is full of child mo—uh, dogs—but thankfully mama cat has remote control of all the manholes in the town (???) so you open them up and get the dogs to fall in. This is the first game to use stranger danger as a major theme. The gameplay is very simple and repetitive, but what maze chase game isn't? Maybe the biggest issue is the music, which consists of a single, miserable 8-second loop that could probably be used as torture at a CIA black site.
