A/N: Dean x Reader fluff and smut--don't tell my mother. Mom, if you're reading this STOP NOW. This will ruin our relationship forever. This story is super fluffy (and a little smutty) for Valentines day! This is my first smut ever, so feedback is welcome!

It had been six months since you had last seen Dean Winchester.

He had gotten up early that morning, not realizing that you were also awake, and packed up. You had watched from the window, tears brimming your eyes, as he and his brother disappeared down the long stretch of road just outside of your house. You stood there staring at the back of his head until your blurry vision and the distance made it so you couldn’t see him anymore. The black muscle car was gone, just like that, like it and the two men that rode inside it, hadn’t even been here in the first place.

You waited for his phone call. For weeks you waited. But it never came. You never knew why he had left, why he hadn’t told you he was even thinking of leaving. You even tried calling him, four days after he had left, but you found that the number had been disconnected.

You knew what the brothers did. They had told you that they killed monsters, had been their whole lives, that that line of work ran in the family. You wouldn’t have believed them if you hadn’t had one of those very monsters that you grew up telling stories about around the campfire in your house. 

The spirit of the man who had lived, and died, in your house before you had bought it haunted it. You thought you were going crazy at first, hearing strange noises and feeling sudden chills as you entered or exited a room.

It had been a simple salt and burn, at least that’s what Sam had said, but the hunters decided to take advantage of your hospitality when you offered them a free room for the night, and extended their stay in your town for almost seven weeks.

Your relationship with the shorter hunter started the night you met him. Dean had stayed at your house with you after he and Sam rid it of the spirit.  Sam had gone to burn the bones of the old man while the two of you stayed behind.

That first time with Dean was, in one word, immaculate. No one had ever done to you what Dean Winchester was able to. He made you writhe. And shudder. He made you make noises that you didn’t even know you could make.

Dean started finding cases that were near by, making it so that the brothers could stay with you while they worked them. You hid your relationship from Sam for a while, finding that sneaking around was pretty exciting. But you couldn’t keep it from him for long.

Sam figured that they were staying in this town because of you. But he knew that he had never seen Dean as happy as he was when he was with you, and that made staying there worth it to him. Dean never did much of anything for himself besides indulging in a slice of pie now and again. So Sam stayed, enjoying the brief moment of peace in his life while he had it.

It lasted longer than Sam had expected. They had been in Lansing, MI almost two months before Dean bolted. He always did this when he realized he was becoming too attached to someone. He didn’t think it was fair to drag them through his mess of a life, he always came back with the line that he worked better on his own, and then he would leave, just like that.

So one fall morning they packed up and left quietly, not even waking you up.

Sam looked sideways at Dean as he drove away from you. His knuckles were white on the wheel, his jaw clenched, and his eyes fixed directly on the road in front of him, not even glancing in the rearview mirror.

When you woke up the next morning, he had disappeared like he had never been there, leaving no trace whatsoever of ever being in your life. You had thought you had something good with Dean. You felt you had had a connection with him that people only dream about. Apparently he didn’t feel the same way.

If you could guess what hell was like, that would be it, waking up and realizing that part of your heart had been ripped away, and the person that did it did it so casually, like it wasn’t a big deal.

It had taken you months, months to get over Dean.  You binged on junk food and bad movies, talked up strangers in bars, cut your hair. You felt like you were finally ready to move on with your life. That’s why, when you heard someone knocking at your door that evening, you didn’t even think twice about opening it.

And then, there he was, six months later, like a ghost, standing on your porch steps.

He was standing in the threshold, trying to keep himself as dry as possible from the rain that had been coming down all day long. Your doorway wasn’t nearly big enough to hide the huge man from it and droplets of water were running down his face, making it look like he had just gotten out of the shower.

Your eyes went wide the minute you saw him, and you opened the door tentatively. The cool air rushed to greet you sending goosebumps up your bare arms, and you crossed your arms over your chest.

“Look, I know you probably don’t want to talk to me, or even see me.”

“Dean, what are you doing here?” You asked, the shock of seeing him evident in your voice. “Are you insane?”

“I know, I know. I’m sorry. I probably am.” Dean took a huge breath before continuing, avoiding your gaze as he did. “It’s been a really long six months, and damn it, I just can’t do it anymore Y/N.”

Your eyebrows raised in shock. Dean was here to tell you that he wanted you back? After leaving you without a trace? Your voice suddenly felt like it was stuck in your throat and when you didn’t respond immediately, Dean went on.

“I was an idiot Y/N, I am a huge steaming pile of idiocy. But I want you Y/N, for worse or for better, and I should have told you that six months ago. Instead, I just ran away.” He looked at you then, those familiar green eyes boring into yours. He rubbed his hand over his face, pinching the bridge of his nose in the process, trying to keep his emotions in check. His next words came out in a broken whisper, and you had to strain your ears against the rain pounding around the two of you.  “ I know I hurt you… bad.”

You swallowed hard, as you watching this normally strong and stoic hunter fight back the tears that were brimming in his eyes.

“You broke my heart Dean.” Your voice dropped, practically inaudible. You weren’t sure if he heard you, and you weren't sure if you really wanted him to hear you.

“I know. I know I did. I’m so sorry.” Dean stepped closer to you, looking down at your hands before gently taking them in his. I want to put it back together Y/N, I will. I swear.”

You closed your eyes, and pressed your lips together in a thin line. You wanted so badly to believe him, to pretend these last six months never happened. A tear leaked out from behind your lids and you let it run a path down your cheek. You opened your eyes and met his eyes again.

“Please Y/N. I know I have no right to be here, asking you this, but please, let me make up for it. Let me remind you how it used to be. How we used to be.” He stepped even closer to you now, close enough that you could smell him, whiskey and leather, uniquely Dean.

“Dean…” You started, looking up into his eyes. The intensity behind his words was obvious in them.

“Say you don’t want to try this thing again. Just say the words and I’ll disappear.” Dean moved his hand to your shoulder, rubbing small circles on the bare skin with his thumb.

Dean’s breath ghosted over your face as he gave you a way out. All you had to do was tell him to leave, and that would be it. You would never see him again.

You took a shaky breath in and looked back at him, “I can’t.”

Suddenly Dean’s hands were grabbing your face and the back of your head, fingers tangling in your hair. A throaty growl left his lips before he pressed them against yours. The rough scruff that grew on his jawline scratched your mouth as he pushed you back into the house, kicking the door closed behind him with his muddy boot.

Hands were everywhere. Your fingers fumbled as you blindly unbuttoned the buttons on Dean’s shirt, keeping him pressed against you as you traveled backwards through your house. You ripped it off of him and he pushed you up against the door of your bedroom, his lips temporarily leaving yours as he pulled your tank top over your head. You popped the buttons of his jeans and turned the knob behind you causing the two of you to clatter into the room.

Your knees hit the back of the bed and Dean gently laid you down on it. He stepped away, and you bit your lip as he looked down at you. With a smirk, Dean peeled your socks off your feet, one at a time, flinging them behind his head as he did so. Then he moved towards your legs and pulled your leggings off by the ankles. He shed his jeans, as you watched him, you’re your bottom lip still between your teeth, before crawling on top of you.

He unhooked your bra and threw it towards the direction of your socks as he kissed down your neck and over your chest, making a line down your body with his wet kisses. You slid his boxers down as he kissed you, running your hands over his lower back, scratching lightly with your fingernails. Dean hooked his fingers under the waistband of your panties and dragged them slowly down your legs, his boxers falling to the floor when he stood to pull them all the way off.

Starting with your toes, Dean kissed his way back up to your mouth, making you giggle when his stubble tickled your stomach. Dean’s left hand combed through your hair as he intertwined his right with yours. His nose brushed your cheek and his lips found yours again, and you gave him full access, letting his tongue run along your bottom lip before he gently took it in his teeth and pulled.

You gasped as he pushed into you, filling you completely. The two of you moved together, breathing in each other, relishing in the feel of one another. Heated breaths and soft moans filled the room, as Dean moved over you. He stilled, his warmth spreading inside of you and you clenched around him, your body shaking as you held on tightly to his strong freckled arms.

Dean rolled off of you and wrapped his arms around you, pulling you close.

“I didn’t want you to go.” You whispered, once your breathing had slowed.

You felt Dean shift underneath you, and he moved his hand around your waist to rest on your bare back.

“I was afraid before,” He started. He put his nose to your hair and the room fell quiet again. “I was afraid of loving you.” You listened to his heart beating through his chest. “You don’t have to be you know.” You breathed. Your fingers traced invisible patterns on his stomach as you lay there together. “Because I love you too.”
