i just came up with something that'd be fun (but very painful) to read in Ocean on Fire. One word. Tsunami.
Oh dang
That would be a whole other story but man, it would be a GOOD ONE. There’s so many different ways it could go, like, are they already together and get separated? Does Grillby have to watch Shore get completely swept away and have no hope of going after her?
Or are they strangers who happen upon each other in the aftermath? Grillby somehow survives the initial wave and Shore takes it upon herself to help this fire monster get to safety?
Tsunami’s are a very serious thing and it would be a very serious story. But I do like the idea. There’s tons of angst potential there
Funny how a single choice can lead to a vastly different outcome.
A non-canon branching of the main OoF story that won't leave my mind. Basically a 'what if Shore was taken by a group who decided to ignore the protection set by Asgore to find exactly how far science can push magic to go'.
