pls pls aku i must know.... how does dahlia go about getting reformed. especially considering [gestures at the doug swallow trial]

OKOKOKOKOK, honestly, the way i went about it is yes, dahlia had committed a really bad crime, but at the trial and the subsequent research behind her background - there was a realization that there were mitigating circumstances that forged her into the individual today. 

she was in an abusive relationship with her mother and because of the external societal expectations whereby because of the fact that she had poison powers, she is automatically is a villain and has been treated as a villain for literally her entire life - that she lashed out and killed someone.

however, this does not negate the fact that she murdered someone.

so instead of being put into death row, she was in prison for a few years and went through a few rehabilitation programs, which taught her to positively associate her powers and to cement in the fact that because she had a power that people deemed bad does not mean that she is bad. and moreover, they helped her deal with the trauma of morgan and her childhood as well!

the focus for her specifically because of her circumstances is rehabilitation, while for others, it’s just punishment (spoilers, not gonna tell who heehee).

once she was released, the court ordered that she have a therapist and checked in with her parole officer every week. it was through this time she attempted to restart her university degree in the medical field, focusing on the usage of poisons and venoms as a way to fight against illnesses.

she reconnected with her twin, Iris, her half-sister Pearl, and her sister Valerie! She works part-time at Kurain (after Morgan got jailed) offering it as a place where reformed villains can get help!

maybe in the future there’s a potential we could see her as being a hero in the streets, remaking the name of Sweet Tooth.
