An Oomycete called Pustula obtusata (fungus-like eukaryotic organism) causing chlorosis on Inula salicina leaves.
funny how convergent evolution loves the fungus. all must become fungus-likes. oomycota had a great idea
Back in May, as part of my plot study for my Plant Biology course, I observed my first Water Mold on some Pepperweed. The water mold is known as (Albugo lepidii) and were on many of the pepperweed plants in and around my study plot.
Potato late blight is caused by an oomycete (Phytophthora infestans). It was the cause of the Great Irish Famine between 1845 and 1852. Sporangiophores and sporangia are seen in the pictures.
White rust (Albugo candida -oomycete) symptoms on Shepherd’s-purse (Capsella bursa-pastoris).
