Midoriya Izuku (Deku)
Date night is the best night. Or at least it’s supposed to be. If Deku isn’t stressing out, he’s probably asleep, even then you should check to make sure he’s breathing. Tonight was no exception. It literally was just study and have some take out then go for a jog. Nothing complex, nothing overt, just simply being together. But if Murphy’s law thought it was busy before it sure as shit has been since Midoriya started at UA. And he feared that date night was going to fall into its clutches as well.
He tried to make sure everything was just right in the study lounge. He would’ve gotten the take out too, but his s/o insisted on equality and was getting it this time. He liked that about them, as well as many other things, that they could be firm with him and stick to their guns. Literally though, sometimes it was their guns, his s/o was way stronger than they looked. So while he waits for them to come back up to the study lounge, he keeps re organizing his textbooks and googling how to prevent paper cuts and stressing out about not having thimbles for his s/o’s thumbs.
“Hey,” they walk in with two bags with thank you on them, “I got candy too! I hope you don’t mind”
“N-n-no it’s fine!” he waved his hands at them and tried not to think about what would happen if they tripped that second.
They sat down and the two of them broke open the food and their notes. They studied and ate dinner and talked about their classmates and their upcoming combat assessment. After they were finished and his s/o felt like their head was going to explode, they cleaned up and got ready to go for their jog. He put their school bag in his dorm so they wouldn’t have to walk to the other side of the building. As they were walking out side his s/o grabbed him and kissed him.
Was he shocked? Yes. Nervous? Always. Happy? Definitely. Then something was off. The let him go and laughed as they started to jog off. His mouth was imploding. His cheeks were stiffening up. Midoriya spit out the candy and called after his s/o.
“But I thought this wasn’t going to be a race!”
