Platonic Zhongli x Spiderman!reader
Modern au, kinda. Like Morden Teyvat but his still the archon of Liyue, ooc , probably .there is magic but it's not really relevant until later on.
Meaning: his essentially the president/ emperor of Liyue in a modern setting with the Adepti being a law enforcement/military force
Reader is a Spider-Man (I love spidersonas), obviously, her guardians are dead and Zhongli kidnapped (legally- his the god father) another traumatised child, gender is up to you, I'm just using Spider-Man cause it's easier
Imagine you, Spider-Man, trying to hide this identity from Zhongli. Ha! Good luck.
He probably figured it out after a while from how they spoke and sounded and the coincidental injuries you both shared. Especially when you'd skip school. A lot.
I feel like he would be conflicted because he wants you to be out of harms way and let his Adepti handle it but he also knows how much this means too you.
I feel like in some way he feels like his breaking his contract with your guardians by allowing this to happen. But in some way his also fulfilling it by allowing you to be you.
I think the final straw would be after your latest, life altering villain fight. Eg, venom and his species trying to take over Liyue and you stopped it. But at the cost of your identity being revealed and being badly wounded. Like bad enough, you were in a coma for a while serious.
I think here, he would order for your arrest but it would be unique. He understands that some of the public don't like you, whether it's the destruction that follows your fights or because their haters, and there's also the people who like you and what you do and what you try and achieve, saving people even if it costs you all that you are. I think this arrest would be to appease the haters and appease his need to protect you by locking you up in essentially his domain with a specialised force to watch over you and keep you in. And essentially show that yes, he understands that people need you but you still broke the law, so punishment is a must in some form.
This probably would be where a lot of people first disagreed with their leader in a massive way.
Once you awake and you learn of this and his identity, you're both pissed and confuzzled.
This definitely would lead to arguments but I think with enough time, you can resolve it but there's definitely a wall between you both now.
Hey at least he made your sentence a couple of years... in isolation essentially, something you do not like, unless you like being alone then do you boo.
