I had a lovely time! I think I'm going to be writing/drawing a lot of Grantaire-centric, Gavroche-related angst in the near future - holy hell that was powerful. I'm so happy the tour came through Sac, CA.
ahh good! i'm really happy it came through sacramento, too, because that meant i could see it while i was visiting my family for my birthday! :D what a nice venue, too. it was the first time i'd sat rather farther back (the first time i saw the tour -- almost a year and a half ago now, we were very deliberate in getting close seats, and then when i saw it in march we got really close seats almost on a fluke, and this time we were a bit farther back), and it was so nice to see that the show is just as powerful and amazing from farther back as it is up close (in fact, some scenes were much easier to watch farther back because we could see the whole stage instead of having to focus on one or two characters)
and gosh i know what you mean about grantaire sakjhgjfg there was a moment this past time that -- and idk why it had never hit me like this before -- but something about joe's performance on wednesday i just felt like a HUGE LOAD OF GRANTAIRE-SHAPED BRICKS HAD HIT ME ALL AT ONCE VERY UNEXPECTEDLY omfg. and gavroche akjhgkjfgfdh
