1. What was your first favorite book/IF
I've been reading from a young age because my momma runs a strict af program, so I remember my first ever favorite book was called Kubno & Velna, about two aliens who came to Earth in order to assess our environmental issues. It was the first book I read as a child that talked about global warming, and I still have it.
Another one of my favorites was The Little Prince.
My favorite IFs are Cantata from @fir-fireweed , Garden of Bones by @gardenofbones-if , The Lonely Shore by @thelonelyshore-if , and Out of the Dark by @velena-if but my list is loooong. My first favorite IF is probably Choice of the Dragon but I can't remember.
2. What is your current favorite book/IF
Last night I started reading Letters to Milena, so that's a current favorite heheheh, IF-wise it's Out of the Dark.
3. What genre is your favorite, reading or writing!
I read just about anything, but I do have the attention span of a chihuahua, so it's difficult to finish something once I begin to read... that said, my favorite genres are probably fantasy and gothic horror. I enjoy writing both, and also slice of life and comedy, although I don't consider myself a funny person. Oh! I like romance too, both to read and to write.
Friends to lovers, the occasional enemies to lovers too, also yearning. Like!!!! gimmeeee, a person who yearns is a person who earns!!!! Also, this very specific trope in historical fiction where the man is absolutely obsessed with his wife and everything she says is the law.
5. If you could, what world building or story would you love to have written yourself?
Not that I would have loved to write it, but I wish I could sit down with the authors of Dracula and Carmilla and pick their brains. I love both of those books to death, and I always find myself going back to read either one.
6. Your favorite line (or three) that you've written?
Heh, this is a hard one. I'm never particularly satisfied with anything I write, no matter how much fun it is to actually write. So I don't really have any favorites!
7. Favorite medium to experience a story? (Book, IF, video game, movie, etc)
Probably books and IFs. I can't play most video games because I don't have a laptop, and I don't watch TV, like, at all. Most of the things I know about movies are because I read the whole plot somewhere on Reddit, or saw clips of it on TikTok, or my friends yapped about it to me.
8. Favorite character versus your favorite character to write: Who would win?
Must they fight??? I prefer to think my dearest characters would befriend each other 🩷
9. What story keeps inspiring you to write?
To be honest, anything can inspire me to write. My momma once told me it seems my brain never stops, and that's true. I think it's fortunate, that I can find inspiration even in a puddle of water or in a blank wall. But usually anything that I read gives me a spark of inspiration, even if it's just a loose idea for a story!
10. Random fun fact about you, your writing, your interests!
• I've been on Wattpad since 'After' was still being completed over there.
• I study Literature in college and work as an academic researcher in the field of Theater, and I've been trying to apply my knowledge of it in my writing.
• I want to be a teacher in adult education, because my parents never even managed to start high school because shit was happening and I want to show other adults like them that education is a path we can always come back to.
• I'm the first person in my family to graduate high school and go to college.
okay that's it for me!!! im gonna tag my dear friends @directive-if @amaryllisfiles-if @dormantstar-if but feel free to ignore <3
