Just wanted to share this ginormous beauty from my personal collection. I purchased this massive #RawOpal on my birthday a few years ago, a treat 🎁 for myself. Then eventually got up the courage to electroform her. #Opals are notoriously tricky to plate. For anyone who doesn’t know, electroforming involves submerging a piece in an acidic chemical solution for anywhere from 10-24 hours. Most stones need some kind of sealing / protection.. with Opal chiefly among them.
